I have cried over this....scared and worried for my own 17 year old son who also suffered from Kawasaki's as a child and then years of seizure disorder. He also has been seizure free for years, and thus no meds....now I want to follow him to school, ride in the passenger seat when he is driving, stand outside the bathroom or bedroom door. If this was indeed the case for Jett, that he had been seizure free and therefore off meds - well, I am afraid. And I am so heartbroken over their loss...there but for the grace of God go I.

My thoughts and prayers go to the Travola Family. I know first hand the pain that they feel. I am a 30 year old woman who had to bury my only child in Nov. 2006. It is easy to say that they are in a better place, but it is not easy to accept. Like Jett, my daughter had multiple health problems, but that doesnt take away from the love that they gave, it only made them that much more special. The only thing that I can say is that as long as your child is in your heart, they will always be with you. May god bless you and your family. Please know that there are people that do not you on a personal level, but empathize with your pain and suffering.

Please pray for ALL children who have died or who are dying this very moment and didn't have famous parents or the luxurious lifestyle that Jett had. I'm sorry for the Travolta's loss but let's not forget those parents who are not in the limelight who have lost a child. My heart goes out to the parents struggling with a loss of a child. Famous or not your loss deserves attention.

I am a 30 year old lady from Africa specifically Ghana. I have never been married or have a child but the affection i saw in your family pictures made me cry my heart out all morning. I have watch some of your movies and have been following the story of your loss since. I don't know how it feels to loose a child but your loss has affected me very much. I feel it in my womb, stomach and heart.

I am just so terribly sorry for your loss. I know words do not describe how you feel. The vocabulary for the loss of a child isn't available to us. Please be ok.

I had the pleasure of meeting John back in the late 70's, early 80's and found him to be a strong gentle man. He was taking flying lessions at the local airport I was working at. He was always a ray of sunshine on a foggy day. Nothing but positive. He could make anyone smile with sincerity. It is so NOT the natural order of life for a parent to bury their child. My heart breaks for his entire family and their friends. I pray to My Higher Power for The Travolta Family and their Friends. Personally, I don't care for orginized religion. BUT, I believe and I know there is a Higher Power and I am not it!!! It is not and never will be my place to tell anyone what to believe. For anyone to take this time and bash him, his family and or his Beliefs is inhuman!! I have a real hard time believing ANYONES' Higher Power would condone some of the crap some (people?) have posted. I pray for you that your negitivity does not come back to haunt you inasfar as YOU having to bury YOUR child. I would recommend taking the next 30 days (longer if needed) to pray for the Travolta family. Hopefully by the end of the 30 days, you will feel their pain and feel remorse for such evil thoughts and actions.

This is NOT the time to say one religion is better than another. This IS the time to send love, prayers and heartfelt sympathy to a family that is devastated just like any other family would be over the loss of one so young and innocent. John and Kelly are role models in every way and I know they and Ella will come through this stronger than ever. God bless you all in this terrible time. Just remember, it is okay to cry. Tears are Gods way of helping us heal.

God How Awful to lose a child and then to have to suffer the indignant comments that heartless people have been writing! He is 16 years old for God's sake. Let the parents grieve.

For over 10 years, having livid under the clouds of this miserable invisible menace, Epilepsy, being knocked down unconscious, every where, any where & any time, I understand & feel the agony of the TRAVOLTA FAMILY losing their young beloved son for seizures.
May the Lord empower the Travolta family with grace & strength, in over coming this agony & painful time of their lives. God speed.
PS: Those wicked hearts who could never understand nor feel the agony of their fellow human beings, why bark at the wrong tree?

A tragedy? Yes. Do they deserve all the sympathy in the world? Yes. Is scientology a dangerous cult? Absolutely! Read about the victims of scientology and their belief systems, it's endless. Lisa Mcpherson (died because of lack of medical service at a Scientology "Hotel", Theresa Duncan (apparent suicide, but was in fear of her life), Tim Kenny (a neigbor of the Travoltas who had called child protective services on them, dead of an apparent suicide, also in fear for his family), Jeremy Blake (was filing a lawsuit against the "church", dead of suicide). Even L. Ron Hubbard's, the founder, his own son died of an apparent suicide, but he was a homosexual, and his father was ashamed of him. Or the filmmaker in Florida, what was his name?, found dead under suspicious circumstances in his apartment (apparent suicide). This list is endless, I could go on and on. They are dangerous, read about them.

When you lose a child it is not about religon or how much material possesions that you have. Its about love for that child and the grief that a parent has when a child passes.

My deepest sympathy.

When younger I had friends that would invite me to their house of worship, but, my mother refused
saying when I came of age I could go. At 18 she sat me down and said

"I have raised my family as Christians for I feel this is the right religion for us. As an adult now and
you may go. Remember there are as many if not more religious beliefs as there are humans of
different cultures and races. But, I ask you to respect others beliefs, That you question until YOU'RE
satisfied with the answers given. Most importantly, if you do NOT believe please, do not jest, jeer or
belittle their faith. I expect you to RESPECT others BELIEFS as I expect others to respect mine."

My curiosity being what it has always been, I visted with Catholics,Islams, Jehovah witness', etc.
Some made sense, others did not, some answered my hundreds of questions others did not.
Ultimately, I realized that all religions boil down to the same principle, whether you call him GOD,
ALLAH, BUDDAH, etc: There is a higher being that HAS all comsuming love for us.
My journey ended where I had begun as a Christian. For me in MY quest for "true salvation" I found
my mothers wisdom to be sound, good and right. I am a Christian.
Whenever I hear people "judge" others beliefs, I always recall that passage of the Bible says
"GOD will judge one according to THEIR belief"
To my way of thinking its like "With the ruler I measure you today, I shall also be measured tomorrow"
So judge not that you are not judged.
Let us not be so narrow-minded that we lose sight of OUR TRUTH.
That ultimately, WE have FREE-WILL, FREE CHOICE.
