Lil Wayne's the proud father of a new son!

The rapper's baby boy, Dwayne Carter III, was born Wednesday afternoon at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, his rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.

He has not released the identity of the baby's mother.

The 26-year-old (real name: Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) announced he'd soon have a son at Sunday's BET Hip-Hop Awards.

"I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me," he said during his acceptance speech for Lyricist of the Year.

Wayne also won the MVP of the Year award, beating out Jay-Z, T.I. and Kanye West. He dedicated the award to his daughter.

Next up for the rapper? He is at work on a new album, Tha Carter III.
