I love the Miss America and I will continue watching every year if is televised. All we are offered is sports, every little detail. I think they ahould televise every night there is a competition.

Mario Lopez to Host Miss America Pageant

TLC and the Miss America Organization announced Monday that the Extra host will serve as master of ceremonies for the live event. The pageant will take place on Jan. 24 in Las Vegas. Lopez, 35, previously hosted the pageant in 2007. Take a look at other popular TV shows. "Mario and the Miss America Organization's past relationship has proven beneficial and we look forward to having him in Vegas again this year," Brent Zacky, TLC's programming vice president, said. More than 12,000 young women competed in the state and local competitions to become their state's finalist for Miss America. In addition to crowning one Miss America, the organization made more than $45 million available in cash and scholarship assistance last year. I really don't like Mario Lopez. If he were a woman, you KNOW what he'd be called, but since he's a man, he's just "sowing his oats." He's a real cad -- and having him be the emcee is like taking an alcoholic into a bar.
