Matt Dillon Could Spend Three Months in Jail for Speed Arrest

Matt Dillon could face three months in jail if convicted on charges of driving at an excessive speed, Reuters reports.

The actor, 44, was arrested at 10 p.m. in Vermont on Dec. 30 for traveling 106 mph in a 65-mph zone.

He's slated to appear in Vermont's Orange County Court Jan. 21. In addition to jail time, he may have to pay a $300 fine.

Dillon was nominated for an Oscar for his role in 2004 drama Crash.

3 months for going a little over 100 on a freeway is insane. Driving 100 on the freeway is a right of passage. Driving 100 in a school zone is another matter.
