Maureen McCormick's Memoir Details a Drug-Fueled Downward Spiral

In her new memoir, Maureen McCormick reveals intimate details about her secret life of binging on cocaine, trading sex for drugs and dating her TV sibling.

In "Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice," she also writes about her romances with Michael Jackson and Steve Martin. She delves into her relationship with Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady.

The affair intensified while the The Brady Bunch filmed episodes in Hawaii.

"We couldn't hold back any longer," she writes in the book published by William Morrow. "It was our first kiss, and it was long, passionate and deep. It was wonderful, too, though as we continued to kiss and press against each other so closely that we could feel each other's body heat, a part of me — a tiny part, admittedly — said to myself, `Oh my God! I'm kissing my brother. What am I doing?'"

McCormick's drug addiction and depression fueled her downward spiral as she unsuccessfully tried to reconcile her real life with the one she had portrayed on TV.

In the memoir, she writes about cocaine binges and parties at the Playboy Mansion and the home of Sammy Davis Jr., an unwanted pregnancy and trading sex for drugs.

The book hits stores on Tuesday.

I do not believe she's lying just to make a buck. My ex-husband told me many years ago that when he was 16-18 years old (would've been in the mid to late 80's) he & a couple of buddies were invited one night to the Hollywood mansion of a lead actor of one of those famous monster movies. I want to say Bela Lugosi, but I'm not sure. Anyway, there was a major party going on with tons of coke & god knows what else. Well, guess who was there? That's right, "little Marcia Brady"....partying hardy right along with everyone else. He also said that she was either a lesbian or bi. She had been  making out with some africian american woman. I never knew if I should believe him or not...maybe he was telling tall tales just to sound cool, who knows. Now, after hearing about her book I'm starting to think it was true afterall. I will definitely read the book.

So, lesson to all young stars today: Do lots of drugs, prostitute yourselves, make a fool out of yourselves to well respected actors and actresses and then 35 years later, when no one cares about you anymore, write a "memoir" about it and poof you are the star of the day once again.

If one of these former celebs wrote a book that said, "well, my life was pretty wholesome and here were some funny, nice things that happened" would publishers buy it?

Apparently not, or her book would've been published that way a long time ago.

As much as I like her, I don't believe anything that comes out of a celebrities mouth these days. It's not always their fault. Sometimes it is: Look at Roseanne and her lies about having been molested. Made her money, but even she had to admit it never happened, eventually.
