Melrose Place could be following in 90210's footsteps with its own spin-off.

CW and CBS network reps confirm to the Associated Press that they're in talks to remake the show, which originally aired from 1992 to 1999 on Fox.

The show would debut in the 2009-10 TV season, spokesman Paul Hewitt said Tuesday.

The announcement comes on the heels of Beverly Hills 90210's success, which has boosted CW's performance among women 18 to 34 by 46 percent on Tuesday nights.

There's no word if stars Heather Locklear, Andrew Shue, Courtney Thorne-Smith or Marcia Cross would reprise their roles.

I LOVED Melrose!! I never missed an episode! I miss all the drama, & can not wait to tune in again. I really hope Heather rtns. She WAS Melrose. I was in my early Twenties when Melrose was on, & lived in a complex very similar. There was a tenant who was "almost" like Kimberly. She was obsessed with my gay-roommate & was destroyed when he would not "convert" to be with her! She actually "kidnapped" him & had him tied-up in her apt. It was a huge scandel that rocked the complex..I felt like I was on Melrose. I will Be watching!! I miss the 90's!! hehehe C

How do you spin off a spin off???
I don't know but it really only makes sense to spin off BRENDA, KELLY, and MR MATTHEWS, and any other 90210 alum that would want to sign on! I think it be great. LUKE would HAVE to come back to be with Brenda and of course there'd be friction but Kelly would get over it and move on with Ryan since Brenda already said her brother Brandon had a family. Donna would fit it nicely as well and who knows Brenda could be renting from Amanda aka Heather Locklear. Anyone else think this the ONLY way to spin off a spin off all while going back to a classic??

I stopped watching the show when the orginal cast went off. Jake, Allison, Matt, Billy Sydney, Jane, Kimberly. Amanda and Michael were the only ones left. When they brought Jane back it was too late. The ratings were gone.

I was a huge fan of Melrose Place in the 90's...I never missed an episode...I thought most of the actors were handsome and the actresses were beautiful...It was a show about 20 to early 30 somethings finding their way in life with alot of backstabbing and sex goin on...what will it be about now..especially if some of the old alumni reprise their roles...aren't they a little old to be acting the way they did?
