Michael Phelps to Host Season Premiere of Saturday Night Live

 Jon Furniss/WireImage.com Michael Phelps is continuing his dominance out of the water -- he'll host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on September 13, NBC announced Wednesday. Rapper Lil Wayne will join the Olympic swimmer -- who won eight gold medals in Beijing -- as musical guest. See photos of Michael Phelps' Greatest Olympic Moments. Phelps, 23, will also be a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday. Last week, Phelps landed a book deal for his memoir, titled Built to Succeed. "The bullying and adversity made him be stronger and work harder," his mom Debbie told Us Weekly. "Michael may not have been able to focus in school, but I saw a passion for swimming at such a young age," she said. "He could be at a swim meet or practice for hours. It was a great outlet." When I first saw Michael Phelps, I though he was a little goofy looking, but not really ugly. Then when I watched him swim and saw all of his interviews, I decided that he is HOT!!! haha. He has a hot body, and a cute boyish face, and better yet, he seems to have a really good personality. Go Phelps!

Believe me Michael is funny, he can tell a joke and he is very quick witted. You will be pleasantly surprised. Michael doesn't take himself very seriously so he can handle jokes being thrown at him.

i dont think he's extremely attractive like everyone else does but, i think his story is touching..my sister is bullied in school and after she saw him and heard his story it made her feel better knowing that she wasnt the only one and even though he was bullied he got through it and he really changed my little sister and how she looks @ life.. god bless him.

I'm happy for Michael Phelps, and the fact he won 8 gold medals in swimming at the Beijing Summer Olympics will never be forgotten. Unfortunately, couldn't Lorne Michaels and his staff have found a better guest host for the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live's" 33rd season than Phelps? Athletes don't exactly make the best guest hosts on "SNL", and I'm skeptical writers & cast will give Phelps funny material to work with. Call me an "Ugly American", but "SNL" should stick with actors, comedians and other stars with personality to guest host "Live from New York".

Actually, if you watch his interviews, especially casual ones, he seems to really appreciate a good laugh. Very relaxed & easy-going guy outside the pool, I bet this will be a really cool episode. He seems like someone who enjoys making fun of himself.
