It drives me absolutely nuts the way Heath Ledger gets blamed for everything. That's such bull. Long before he met Michelle, he admitted in an interview that he liked to party. So, I believe she knew this. If she saw their differences and chose to turn a blind eye, then Heath Ledger can't be blamed for everything. Parenthood is the most important decision a person can make, and if he had addiction issues, then it's fair to say that he wasn't ready. He also stated in interviews that he was not a big proponent of marriage, yet she was calling him her husband in interviews. Where was her respect for this man's feelings?

And, another thing, Heath Ledger was a good person, so stop bashing him. When he was dating Naomi Watts, she too talked about having a family with him, but he said that he would not settle down because it would be unfair to Naomi because he still had many things he wanted to do before he made a committment. The reason I'm bringing this up is as an example that he did care, and he did have a heart, so stop criticising him. He may have been flawed, but he had a large heart, certainly larger than some of the haters posting here. I believe that he loved his daughter more than anyone else in the world and only wanted the best for her. Rest in peace Heath Ledger, you were a good, loving person, and I hope you found the peace you definitely deserve.

Poor Michelle. I just completely adore her. It's so sad that she and Matilda have lost Heath so young. Poor Matilda won't have a history of memories with her dad and Michelle has lost a happy life with the man she loved. It's sad that so many people focus on the fact that they were separated when he died because they had only just separated, and for all anyone knows, they could have eventually reconciled. Sometimes when someone you love is making choices you disagree with in how they live their life, you think that leaving will knock reality and some sense into them, and unfortunately, in this case, he died before they ever had a chance to get back into one another's lives.

Nobody obviously knows the REAL truth, because none of us personally knows Michelle or knew Heath right? We just read news and partially believe it...My opinion is that Heath,as great as he was,was probably headed down that path from a long time ago.He was known for going out alot,and hanging out with Hollywoods losers! (example: Olsen twins etc..) Everyone knows that these celebrities are pill popping,alcoholics, overall druggies.Maybe not all, but most.Unfortunately,Heath was involved in this vicious circle,and with that kind of lifestyle ANYONE is bound to get hurt;not to mention killed.Maybe Michelle did want things to change, so she left him,hoping for just that.I personally know that if I had children and a troubled partner,I would definitely do the same.I'm sure she does love him still,even though I do have to say,I don't understand why then she would be involved in any romantic relationship right now or for a while.Grief and loss of love,would most likely not allow one to do so,if it was genuine right? Who knows...One thing for sure is: ANYBODY with somewhat of a brain and COMMON SENSE would not take so many pills or mix any type of medication because the outcome of that would be definitely DEADLY.Even if insomnia is a huge issue,your life would be far more important for you to take very careful steps when taking medication to help your health problem.
That said,it's very difficult to believe this was a MERE ACCIDENT.I know some people deny that just because they think Heath was not able to do something like that,he loved his daughter so much etc... Well sadly,some people are not very strong at difficult times;or simply facing weaknesses and trials.Maybe he just couldn't handle all of it.Which is devastating,because he should have gotten psychological help.But yes, sometimes the most loving people may have no self love to rise from the problems they face.

It's not like they broke up and never spoke again. I'd say dating someone immediately after breaking it off with her husband shows she didn't quite have the investment in Heath as a human being that she would have us think. A shame, really. He'd probably still be alive if she hadn't given up on him.

I have to comment on this. I'm one of Shelly's (that is what her friends call her) best friends. When she broke up with Heath it broke her heart. She loved him deeply. She had to let him go because of his drug use and she would have went back with him if he would have went to rehab (she begged him to go). So quit talking about her. She was in love with him and it's sad that he is no longer here.
