Nicole Kidman: Daughter Sunday "Is Reading the Encyclopedia"

Call her super baby!

"She is smiling. She is reading the encyclopedia!" Nicole Kidman joked to Usmagazine.com about three-month-old daughter Sunday Rose, at Elle magazine's 15th Annual Women in Hollywood event in Beverly Hills on Monday.

“It’s lovely to be part of the celebration," Kidman told Us. "I have been having a baby and down in Tennessee so to step back into all of this is a bit of a shock. I think when you have been away from it, you appreciate it more so I have a lot of appreciation and gratitude.”

What else was Kidman chatting about? Playing matchmaker.

The mom revealed she wants her daughter to wed fellow Aussie actor Russell Crowe's son Tennyson.

"We had a play date probably about a month ago and we were like, 'These two would be really cute together,' They were born on the same day [two years apart]," Kidman told Extra.

Crowe confessed to Extra the night before, ... "I think Nicole sees that as a form of destiny and she’s ready to do deal now.”

Kidman opened up to the November issue of Elle about being a mother at age 41.

"At 41, it's more of a painful love. I look at that little girl, and I'm like, 'Oh, no, what's going to happen?' It's almost like my heart is stretching; I'm feeling all the muscles stretch with emotion. It's a beautiful love, but there's a lot of fear and pain for her life, and for Bella's and Connor's life.

"I like to believe that nothing was stopping Sunday from coming into the world," she added.

"When it comes to my kids, I'm just like a lioness," Kidman said. "I'm like, 'No one gets near my babies! That's why we chose not to sell photos of her. We just want to have our little cocoon."

So Nicole has been having a baby & down in TN? That's it? So I guess the fact that she went back to work in Australia 4 weeks after having a baby that she's whined about wanting for years & then 2 weeks after that headed to London to begin work on another movie was all a dream? And wasn't there an award show in London in there too somewhere & also some photo shoots? Yeah, I guess being out of it for such a long time must have been devasting to her. Give me a break Nicole. Maybe if Nicole wasn't traveling the world making movies all the time, Tom wouldn't have been able to "brainwash" them. Or maybe, the kids just don't give a crap about their mother as her career seems much more important to her than being a proper mother.

I do wish she spoke of her other children the way she does her new baby. They should all be part of the discussion. Tom Cruise does the same thing. I realize the media purposely skews these articles to make them more "interesting, but these two have been on the scene for decades and should be more aware of what they're saying. Boo to both of them on that issue.

On the issue of not selling baby photos to the media, hurray for Nicole. Tom Cruise's ego got the better of him on that issue.

I definitely respect Nicole for not selling baby photos to any magazine. Sunday is Keith and Nicold's child, and when the world is ready to see Sunday, they'll see her, unless Nicole keeps her away from the shutterbugs. At least Nicole isn't out to get a quick buck like some of these others so-called stars are. Baby pictures are out of control anyways.

As for her adopted children...What choice does she really have in the matter? It has been widely said that Tom keeps the children from her because of their strict upbringing in Scientology. I think that's bullcr*p though, because Nicole has a right to see her children and be a part of their lives. I would take his a** to court and demand more time with the children. I would do something, because I wouldn't let that midget man have control over anything. But than again, maybe she does see them, but we just don't know it. ???????? Who knows.

Insensitive how? It is different to become a mother for the first time (adopted or biologically) and then become a mother again 13 or 14 years after that. Your body and spirit have changed, and so has the environment you call home. The world has changed so much in the past YEAR, let alone 14 years. I think Nicole was trying to express her fear and anxiety about the future of this country and world that her children will live in. And who could blame her? The world is a scary place to live in these days. I feel the same way about my children sometimes.

Don't feel sorry for her adopted children! Tom is keeping them from her, as they were born and raised into very strict Scientology. She is practically banned from seeing them.
