Project Runway's Tim Gunn may think Michelle Obama has better style than Cindy McCain.

But Nina Garcia thinks they're equally chic — they're just "totally different."

"Cindy is Oscar de la Renta — she is bright and bold," Garcia told Usmagazine.com Thursday at a NYC party for The Rachel Zoe Project. "Michelle is an elegant, Jackie O-type. She channels the 50s and 60s."

As for vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin?

"She has promise," Garcia said. "She just needs to lose those glasses. Get them lasered or something."

Meanwhile, the new season of her Bravo hit is underway. How do the judges relax on the set?

"We eat! We don't have fancy chefs or anything," she says, adding that their top foods are "Cheetos, brownies, fruit, cheese."

So how does Garcia stay in shape?

"I have a 1 1/2-year-old son," she told Us. "Running around after him helps!"
