Barack Obama Cancels SNL Appearance Due to Hurricane Ike

 EMMANUEL DUNAND/AFP/Getty Images Barack Obama has cancelled a guest appearance on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live because of Hurricane Ike, which made landfall in Texas Friday night. "If it's serious, it will change everything for us," SNL creator-producer Lorne Michaels told Politico Friday, before Obama had cancelled. "The tone of the show will shift, and it would be inappropriate for the senator to do if it looks in any way like it’s going to be a tragedy," Michaels explained. The Democratic presidential nominee has also decided to scale back campaigning and instead focus on responding to the hurricane. "Obama offered to do whatever he can to help, including using the Obama website to raise funds for relief efforts," spokeswoman Linda Douglass told the AFP. SNL alum Tina Fey is "likely" to play Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, a person close to the show told the Associated Press Saturday morning. Obama is such an honest man, we need him to fix our country, our economy, bring our troops home from Iraq, reinstate the relation ship in the world, but the bottom line is Americans always believe to some one who misleading them, Bush did, McCain is doing the same, he's such a liar, I am so sick of this old man who has no respect for himself, for Americans and for this country, let not even say about the whole wide world, why are we believe to him? Even with knowing he's misleading us??? It's pretty well known in Wasilla that Track was one of several guys who vandalized 40 buses at a bus barn and that his joining the army was in lieu of going to juvenile detention/jail. The names in the case were protected b/c 3 of the 4 were under 18, but it's a small town and people talk. So, he is portrayed as being some hero going to serve his country, but he just wanted to avoid jail. What a guy.
