Paris is a 20 year old woman. Stop the nonsense! She is definetly old enough to be a mother. We are trying to stop teen pregnancy not twenty something pregnancy. Are you kidding me! Do we now want woman in their twenties to stop having children too? And to the person who said there is no excuse for an unplanned pregnancy, I guess you don't know the highest form of birth control is 99% effect. Who cares who the father is and if she is or isn't married. As long as she is happy and the baby is healthy. That's all that matters.

Why is it that they tell how Paris and her mom feel about the new baby being here, but no mention of the father and how he feels about the baby. ...and is Paris' dad around? How does he feel about it, they never mention that one either? It's a little suspect that everyone is "over the moon" with the new addition but only one parent comes out and says how happy they are... suspect.

I guess I'm just not understanding why so many young women are having children without planning them.

It's not that hard to put a condom on or to use another method of birth control. There is no excuse to have an unplanned pregnancy (when the sex was consensual of course).

For me, its not the "not being married" part that bothers me... it's the age of the mother. Do you really think you're prepared at 16, 18, 20 to be a mother? Its time that these girls stop thinking of babies as cute new accessories and realize that they are a serious and lifelong responsibility.

It's so selfish to bring a child into the world when you're not ready to be a parent. Be smart.

My mother pretty much was a single mother until I was 13 years old, even with my dad around she did ALL the work that pertained to me, just because there is a father, doesn't mean the child is better off by any means, I would have been better off without my father because of how he treated me and still treats me. I feel sorry for your child!!! She loses out on a father BECAUSE of your choice in a mate!!!! Face it, it's your fault so own up to your responsibility in this. To those who think marriage is the ONLY way to give a child a good life....stop being so ignorant. I am a single mother, the father has NEVER been involved in my child's life and I am keeping it that way, she is better off without him anyway. The circumstances of her conception were not exactly consentual so don't go saying i shouldn't have slept with him if i knew he wouldn't be around because you have no clue what you are talking about.

You ever think that MAYBE this same thing that happened to me, happened to her?

To ME, abortion was out of the question because I don't think it's right that just because a child doesn't have a father or something like that i should abort my child. There are certain circumatances that i would abort my child, and none of those are because I don't want a baby or something, you can give a baby up for adoption for those reasons, there are many kids out there who are trying to have babies that can't so give the baby to someone instead.

So anyway, if you think that being married is the only way to raise a child correctly, you are ignorant. My parents were married until I was 7 years old and my father is not the role model father and my mom and I were better off when he left us. I don't think that marriage makes much of a difference, as long as you love your child and do your best to care for your child in every way you are a good parent. You can be married and be a bad parent so please do everyone a favor and pull your head outta your a** and look at the reality of things instead of your clouded judgement on people, not only is it shallow, but immature.
