Peter Cook has confirmed a judge rejected a restraining order filed by ex Christie Brinkley to prevent him from seeing their two children as part of scheduled visitation this weekend.
"There was no temporary restraining order issued against [me]," Cook told Usmagazine.com. "Ms. Brinkley sought to suspend my parenting time with our children for this weekend, and her motion was denied."
Brinkley feared her son, Jack, 13, and daughter Sailor, 10, could be negatively impacted after his highly-publicized 20/20 interview interview airs Friday.
(In the interview, he tells Barbara Walters, "I'm not the scumbag pervert that I've been painted to be.")
James Winkler, Cook's attorney, argues that his client, "had no intention of exposing the children to this interview and would be happy to take them away for the weekend if that would make Ms. Brinkley more comfortable - so that's what he's doing."
(Added Winkler: "The judge did point out, from the stand, that it was Ms. Brinkley who sought the open courtroom in the first place during the trial. My client has never had an interest in exposing the children to any of this stuff.")
Brinkley's lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen told Us that the "court order mandates" Cook take the children, "away from his home, and he can't expose them to the 20/20 broadcast.
"Christie Brinkley’s sole concern is to protect her children," added Cohen.
Cook and Brinkley finalized their divorce this past week, four months after a bitter public divorce battle. Brinkley received sole custody of the kids.

The couple split two years ago after Cook has an affair with his 18-year-old assistant, Diana Bianchi.
