Skylar Deleon -- a child star on TV's Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers -- has been found guilty of murdering three people, including a couple who were tied to an anchor and thrown off their yacht off the California coast.

According to The Associated Press, Deleon, 29, was convicted Monday in the deaths of Tom Hawks, 57, and his wife Jackie, 47, who were thrown from their yacht in 2004 during a cruise to show the vessel to Deleon, whom they thought was a prospective buyer. (Their bodies were never found.)

Deleon was also found guilty of slitting the throat of – and scamming $50,000 from – John Jarvi, 45, whose body was left near a roadway in Mexico in 2003, The AP reports.

Deleon's attorney told the jury from the beginning that his client was guilty of the crimes but argued that he should be spared the death penalty.

"He's had a horrible, horrible life," Pohlson said, noting that Deleon's father abused him and later died of AIDS.

The penalty phase of the trial will begin Wednesday.
