Pregnant Bristol Palin, Fiance Considering Wedding Next Summer

Is a summer wedding in the works for the teenage pregnant daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin?

Possibly.

Bristol Palin, 17, and her 18-year-old fiance Levi Johnston haven't set a date yet, but Johnston's mother, Sherry, tells the Associated Press they're considering next summer.

"But that could change," she said during a short interview outside her home in Wasilla, Alaska.

The baby is due in late December.

On Sept. 1, Palin announced her unwed daughter was pregnant.

In a short statement, the McCain campaign later announced: "Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family."

Levi's mother, Sherry, later disclosed that her son, a former high school hockey player, was the father.

I think you all need to grow up. She did not say she was for teen pregnancy. She said she would support her daughter as any good parent would do. I am 19 and have been dating the same guy for two years and have never had sex. My parents have taught my brothers and I to wait. However as most of you know with kids they dont listen. My brother is one. But it wasn't my parents fault. I'm just glad she didn't have an abortion. And it WASN'T her mothers fault. Go McCain and Palin you got my vote. And I am a Christian. Yet, so many of us who were fortunate to have sex, starting in elementary school, either abstained from sex or at least used birth control to prevent getting pregnant and catching any diseases. Ummmm, maybe it is you who should do some research before you post. Although Barack Obama has said that he supports civil unions, he is against gay marriage. In an interview with the Chicago Daily Tribune, Obama said, "I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman.
