The Proposition 8 battle has motivated a group of stars to shoot a mini-musical that is available at website Funny or Die.

Check out the video now!

The video was shot last Monday in Santa Monica and was written by Marc Shaiman and directed by Adam Shankman -- both of whom wrote and directed the movie Hairspray. The 3-minute piece shows gay marriage backers and opponents debating the issue in song. John C. Reilly and Allison Janney lead the Prop. 8 supporters. The gay marriage supporters include Neil Patrick Harris and Andy Richter.

Jack Black appears as Jesus, who helps mediate the debate until everyone realizes gay marriage can actually help save the nation's economic problems.

"It was the fanciest piece of community theater I've ever seen," Shankman said. "The whole thing came together in one day. It was beautiful. No lunch breaks or egos."

Other stars singing and dancing for gay rights include Kathy Najimy, Maya Rudolph, Rashida Jones, Lake Bell and Sarah Chalke.
