"Clam" is also slang for money, referencing in this context the high cost for Scientology. Poor Katie and Tom, they really do have it bad because of Scientology. I really feel bad for them that they have happy, healthy children. Have you researched this farce of a religion at all? If so, what have you learned? There are many innocent people who have died or had their lives and livelihood ruined as a result of their destructive practices and their policies to sabotage critics. While I am sure some were aware adults who made a choice, I also know that there are as many people - if not more - who are manipulated with the lies this group perpetuates in order to suck new members into their system. That is what the protesters are trying to get across. There are many innocent people who are victims at the hands of this group; just because they are not as many, they are not as bloody, or in the media does not make them less worthy a cause.

Katie has been transformed from a beautiful girl into a woman who is now trying to look grownup and a fashion mongrel because she married Tom. She thinks she is something special and wants the world to know by how she is dressing. It's not working.

I saw the clip of Katie's performance and I thought all her screaming was rather forced and unnatural. I don't know why everyone is being so nice by giving her such good "pre-reviews." It's so very annoying how much everyone continues to coddle this adult woman. There is no way that Katie Holmes compared to the likes of my (not to mention, Tom's) fellow Princetonian, John Lithgow (of McCarter Theater), or the most brilliant Dianne Wiest. I am quite familiar with both of these masters' work -- as is the rest of the world -- and each of them would undoubtedly make the clip of Katie screaming look like the fraud that it is.
