Are you people serious?!? Sean Avery is an enforcer. His job on the ice is to provoke and rattle his opponents which that night just happened to include the guy now dating his ex-girlfriend. This comment was made before that game. Can you all do this math or do you have to be told that he did this on purpose to rattle the players on the other team? Sheesh!! It's HOCKEY for pete's sake. The guy is not doing this for himself, he's doing it for the sake of the dying NHL. I've watched Avery avidly since he was a Los Angeles King and he is probaly the most devoted player on the ice bar none. And for the girls saying he's ugly, He's been on the Peoples 100 most beautiful 2007 list, he's has 30 foot posters in every GAP store form LA to toyko and has dated countless models. He probaly has personality to go along with his skills. I'd have him on my fantasy team anyday if they'd reinstate him.

How could you possibly reach adulthood and think it's ok to talk about ANYONE this way, much less to the media, much less someone you've had a personal relationship with?! Thank goodness the NHL is taking strong action, because hitting these arrogant, rich young athletes in their wallets is apparently the only message they "get."
