Hello...testing.

I can not believe the level of ignorance this great country is coming to. How some in this country believe that a man who has NEVER been in a position of leadership is somehow qualified to lead the most powerful nation is beyond me. We need proven leadership right now. Though Senator McCain is not my dream candidate, he is a man of honor. He does what he says, he goes by what he truly believes is right, not by party line. That is what we need right now. Someone who has a PROVEN track record of going across party lines to get things done. Mr. Obama has NO such record. Unfortunately the record he does have is that of the most liberal voting member of the Senate and the #2 recipient of contributions from the now defunct Fannie and Freddie. How he can stand up there and say that this crisis is because of President Bush is another example of his sincere lack of understanding. Look up how we got in this mess. One man above all comes up....Franklin Rains. This man is guilty of stealing about $90 million from the company through bonuses he did not deserve. He "cooked the books" to show profits which were not there. He falsified records...if any CEO did that he/she would be prosecuted. I sincerely hope this happens to Mr. Rains as well, but for right now the Democrat party is trying to shield him. WHY? Oh, and he supports Mr. Obama for president. Another questionable relationship of Mr. Obama. There are TOO many questionable "friendships" of this man to even THINK of putting him in the White House. The man is "friends" with a known terrorist - William Ayers. Look into this man before even thinking of voting for him. The more I do, the worse it gets, and for some reason the media has no interest in doing it's job on this one.
My vote this year is crossing the aisle and going with Mr. McCain, because we know all there is to know about him. We KNOW he loves this country and has always put Her first. I wish I could say the same about Mr. Obama.

yeah he has done great things fo the country but he has still managed to leave the state of massachusetts #$%&ed time and time again. He voted to close the airbase that deployed planes to new york on 9-11 and took in 200+ people after katrina 3 years ago.

If most of you would go back and look at Senator Kennedy's history of all the wonderful things he has done for our country. I personally have NOT seen or heard of another person who has done so much. Just shut up for a minute and do some back checks. You will really be surprised. He also has been a wonderful uncles now and in the past when he lost his brothers and parents. Get well Ted. Our nation still needs YOU.

the kennedy family is not a perfect family. believe you me, there are things that they have be a part of that i am sure they are not proud. however, what family is america or even in the world has given to the people their service as much as this family? as far as barack obama and his credentials, his sheer intelligence, brilliant aptitude for visionary thinking and interpersonal skills will get him much further than mccain could ever expect to go. as far as the choice of palin, that is his first major mistake!

It's sickening. And who was there to care for and be compassionate for Mary Jo Kopechne? Nobody. But keep paying homage. Ted deserves all your sympathy. He really does. Maybe he should stop pretending he's going to be all better and do the right thing and step down from the Senate? But no.... That would be the unselfish thing to do.

Brain tumor, my butt ! Ted Kennedy doesn't have a brain tumor, he has cirrhosis. Think about this, if he dies of cirrhosis, he dies a drunk; he dies of a brain tumor he remains a respected member of congress. If anybody could pull it off, it's the Kennedy's.

Excuse me 3:05, what has qualified Obama to be president? He is a smooth talker, but no substance. I don't care what color he is. I would vote for Condi Rice over him. He thinks he knows all, but as a president you have to have congress backing you, not just words. I don't support President Bush, but I am voting McCain and Palin. McCain has way more experience as a senator and Palin as a governor with an 80% approval rating. Even Biden said that Obama was not ready to be president and would be honored to run with or against McCain.... WITH or against. And, my prayers are with the Kennedy family.
