Simon Cowell Splits with Girlfriend Terri Seymour

 Gregg DeGuire / Wire Image Simon Cowell and girlfriend Terri Seymour, 34, have ended their six year relationship, Cowell's rep confirmed to Usmagazine.com. "They broke up about a month ago. It was Terri's idea, not Simon's," Cowell's rep, Max Clifford told Us on Saturday. "Simon is doing alright, but they were together a long time and so you can understand that it's going to be a strange time." Clifford added: "It was something that was coming, so it wasn't a shock or a surprise." Do these stars look better after the breakup? The pair, who began dating in 2002, remain friendly. "They have so much history," Clifford said. "They spoke a week ago and were on the phone to each other yesterday." Meanwhile, Cowell is keeping busy with work. "He has so much on, with a new Idol, Britain's Got Talent and the X-Factor so he'll be concentrating on [that]," Clifford said. Any chance of a reconciliation? In an interview with London's Daily Mail in 2007, the American Idol judge, 48, revealed he has no plans to ever settle down. "[My mother] can see this is my life, and I'm happy with it," he told the Daily Mail. "She has her grandchildren, courtesy of my brother Nicholas. Oh well, if she was looking for a husband and baby daddy she should have hooked up with someone closer to HER age not 16 years her senior. You can't have it both ways;Daddy AND baby daddy? Seek therapy and a younger boyfriend. TAKE NOTE LADIES-The LAST thing you want is a slow baby, and them "old swimmers" can cause problems sometimes, see autism. He'd do much better with someone in their 40s. I'll take him any day of the week! He's too old to be running around behind a kid anyway. My kids are 22 and almost done with college. I love Simon and think Terri was good for him but he wouldn't have children and she wants a family very badly. It's sad but people have to be true to themselves and what they truly want out of life. I give her credit for having the confidence and determination to follow her dreams of a family. It's got to be a hard situation for both.

I don't know what it is, but I just love Simon. I think he's attractive (minus the haircut, lol), and I just love how honest he is, along with his sexy accent. People may hate on this man, but he's an incredible business savy man and smart. He's knows what he's doing in these relationships. Maybe having a family just isn't for him, and he's not the only man to think that way, plenty of men are the same exact way. Dating is his only desire probably and there's nothing wrong with that. You have to know what you're getting into when you start relationships with these kind of men.
