Why are some people so mean? And to people they don't even know? I hope they both recover, and am so sorry for the families of the 4 that died. I would feel the same regardless of the victims fame or not. Everybody's life has meaning. Anybody who has anything mean to say about something like this needs to get a life and take some paxil.

This is what you get for traveling on lear jets if you are a "rock" star. The mathematical odds of death when traveling by private plane if you are in the entertainment industry is increased greatly. So lesson here kids, is simple. If your an "entertainer" (although I have no idea how some talentless punk who plays f-ing cds or worse, a mac, pretending to be a dj but can barely mix qualifies as someone famous let alone a star) deal with the crowds, the fans who want your autograph, and the lines and airport problems you so desperately want to avoid, so you can feel special, and instead, travel commerical. You might actually live longer.

you people responding to 4:05 are giving her exactly what she wants, attention. he/she is only blogging for shock appeal. I've read alot about adam and i think he is a good guy. i don't know much about travis but i can only hope they recover from this horrible tragedy. people out there with a heart would wish the same. these men are people with families, kids, wives who are really hurting right now.

Sadly, burn victims are often able to converse quite well - but that's because their nerve endings are burned off.
So, being able to talk is not necessarily a sign that all is ok.

First of all, my condolescences to those lost, and my prayers to the survivers for recovery. After reading a few other articles on this website about DJ AM, I am really saddened. He has had a very hard life, as a youngster, and battled back to finally have a great life these past several years, and now this has happened to him. So sad. Praying for you guys!!

Tragic Twist In Jet Crash -- Why They Flew

Travis Barker's assistant wanted to get home in time for his pregnant wife to give birth.

We've now learned why Barker and his friends decided to get on that doomed Learjet in South Carolina late last night, and the explanation can only be described as a horribly cruel twist of fate.

It all started some time yesterday, when Barker's assistant, Chris Baker, told the guys that his wife was going into labor. Barker told him that he would do everything in his power to get Baker back to the hospital in time.

The quickest way back to Van Nuys was that Learjet. We're told Barker usually won't fly on private jets, but made an exception for what was supposed to be one of the happiest moments of Baker's life.

The plane crashed shortly after midnight, killing four people -- including Chris Baker. Baker's wife went into labor early this morning. Baker has another young child as well.

AM is probably one of the most routine-based DJs. He plays all the same mixes live just like listening to a CD. No new stuff, just pre-recorded mixes. He is a good DJ, but just going to his shows, you already know which song is coming up.

praying for a quick recovery for both. they both have tremendous talent. regardless of whether we know them or not i always want the best for every human being. i know that the families are going through alot too and i am thinking of them and sending healing vibes from california to their hospital rooms. this is tragic and they are 2 very lucky men who have alot to be thankful for.

My heart goes out to those familes who lost their loved ones and hope those who survived this tragic accident recover fully. It's amazing that these two made it out. Thoughts and prayers to them and their family. On another note....I think its pretty interesting that all these people with the negative comments who could "care less" about this story still take the time to post their thoughtless comments or spend time reading these stories they dont care about anyways. If you dont care about something then why waste your time making comments on it.

if only we all cared as much about those close by as we do celebrities. my heart does go out to the injured and their families, but...we tend to act like we know these people on a firsthand basis. i just wish that we as society cared more about those we are surrounded by on a regular basis than celebrities. they have no idea who we are!

i live here in south carolina and we heard about it early this morning. We all here in south carolina feel really bad for what happen to these people.it shouldn't have happen espically these people who gave up there time to come here a give us a free benfit.and for those people who don't give a crap keep your comments to your self. i really don't know these people but no one should have never should have to go through this. my heart goes out to these familes and those poor kids. i'm a mother of two so i know how hard it would be for these familys and there kids. i will be praying for yall.

He had to get TO the helicopter for the airlift. No one is going to try and land a medivac helicoptor near a blazing flame crash site. Do you know what happens to flaming debris on the ground when a helicopter tries to land at a crash site. Don't be daft.

I seriously doubt the validity of this report. He was airlifted, not transported by ambulance. And let's face it -- he's in critical condition. As if the EMS workers would let him use a cell phone from the helicopter. It just doesnt add up.
