Celebs don't think they're athletes. Celebs engage in athletics to get the bodies they need as celebs. Damon's dedication to his craft as an actor is reflected in his physical transformation--whether it's gaining weight (The Informant, Stuck on You), losing weight (Talented Mr. Ripley, Courage Under Fire), or buffing up (your pick of any of the Bourne movies). A sub-10-minute mile isn't bad for a guy packing an extra 30 lbs. (A similar effort to shed weight from Stuck on You to Bourne Supremacy roles garnered Damon a 7:38 mile pace in a 5K road race.)

Speaking for myself, regardless whether or not I agree with an actor/actresses political views (and hey, let's throw in religious views too since that tends to become another "hot" topic of debate), I watch movies (and TV) based on the quality of the work, entertainment value, etc. And I think Matt Damon is a very talented actor.

The twin actors who play Felicity Huffman's character's boys look just like Matt Damon (only 20 years younger)! It's wild.

I love Matt Damon, he is one of the coolest guys on the planet. Don't forget sexiest man alive. Go Matt!

You don't run a Triathlon....a Triathlon is made up of three parts...first you swim, then you bike, and then you run. If he was doing a relay and did just the running portion, then he did the running portion of a Triathlon (hence a relay). The same poor wording was used to report on JLo last month. Writers/reports...please report it properly!

It's nice that Matt's brother talked him into doing the race, etc.
