Which potential first lady does Project Runway judge Tim Gunn think have better style -- Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain?

"No contest, Michelle," he told Usmagazine.com at the Tide and Downy's Fashion Care launch at the Empire Hotel's Pool Deck in NYC Tuesday.

"She epitomizes class and American style," he said. "She looks approachable."

But Gunn thinks McCain needs a makeover.

"Cindy, on the other hand -- with her button-down suits and blouses -- looks like she's duct-taped," he told Us.

"Her fashion is a metaphor for her personality," he added.
