I don't totally agree with her politics, but Palin is a 100 times better looking than Fey. She's just a beautiful woman with gorgeous features. I never thought Fey was very attractive or even funny, but her obvious political leanings mirror mine moreso than our Repub VP.
That said, I respect both women and their views. I don't understand the huff people are in. This is America and people are entitled to believe whatever they wish. Not everyone will support the causes I am passionate about and vice versa. Doesn't mean that don't deserve my respect. Nothing is more repulsive than someone who thinks they are the most brilliant person in the room. It comes from both sides but the Dem's are really surprising me. With all their talk about being a "party of the people", they sure are the first to exclude anyone who may not share a particular view. They want to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony but if your social views are a bit more conservative or wish for tighter border security, your holding the country back. It was never this contemptuous, even during the Clinton years. Nobody boo-hoo's like a Democrat and I am so glad I turned to the Libertarian's.

Sorry, but the mortgage crisis began years ago. It started back in 2001 after the fed lowered the interest rate follwing the huge drop in the stock market and when the Dow plummeted following the 9-11 attacks. Then, it became easier for people to be able to buy homes. More mortgage lenders jumped on the bandwagon; then companies like Country Wide began luring in unsuspecting buyers with shaky mortgage contracts. In 2005, Oxely drafted a regulationand oversight bill and took it to Barney Frank who approved it, with the exeption of two amendments. The problem is that the Congress passed the bill, but the Republican ruled Senate shot it down due to hostility from the Bush Administration. Since the dems have been in the majroty for the past 18 months, they started to pass legislation to control/regulate these problems as eary as February of last year.

The fact that people were living off their credit cards making purchases they could ill-afford also contributed a little to this problem as well.

People believe in Obama and gave him the money. It's all small donations from private citizens (including myself). Also, Michelle Obama has said many times that she buys her clothes at random inexpensive stores like talbots.
