I am so glade to hear that Travis is doning so much better. And it's good to hear that he had his family by his side the entire time. I know exactly what Travis is going through. I was recently in a fireworks explosion, it was July 5, 2008 I was at a block party and I had a little girl sitting in my lap when the explosion happened. The firework came across the street and landed under my right butt cheek, it threw me 3 feet up in the air. I was hit by a mortor and I was flown to Shriners Burn Hostpital for Children in Cincinnati, Ohio, that is where I had 5 surgeries and 2 procedures and I have to have another in Janaury. I had my family and friends by my side the entire time and I had the best surgens and nurses at the hospital. I was in ICU for two very long weeks and during my time there i discovered how strong I am and how lucky I was to survive because the doctor side that if I hadn't rolled over I would be dead. I lost my entire right butt cheek and I had a ruppsured ear drumb. I had 3rd degree burns on my butt and 2nd degree burns on the back of my legs and on my right hand from tring to get the stuff out of my butt. I had a skin graph just like Travis did.
I am so thankful to be alive and it is great to be able to call myself a surviver and I am now able to play fast pitch softbal again, and finish my senior year of high school. I also found God in the whole process.
I am very glade to know that Travis is getting stronger everyday and its good to know that he has his friends and family supporting him all the way because that is what is going to help him in his recovery.

Good LORD. The guys life is saved within an inch and he still is bickering on myspace about his ex wife? I feel sorry for those who passed.

I dont think that Travis should have to love his ex-wife..yes he should respect her as the mother of his children but he is not required to love her.He is of course required to love his children..he does not have to love there mother but he should not bash her in the media or in front of his children..there dislike for eachother does not need to be on any trash sites..or spoken in front of their children it needs to be kept to themselves this goes for her as well.

This is to the person that made the comment on how he just now thanks God..sometimes it require a person to have a really close call as Travis and DJ AM survived to make a person realize the importance of God in their lifes..and even if he didnt thank God at all..really what business is it you what his religous beliefs are? maybe he like others may not believe in God..and thats there choice they are not "loser" for not thanking God..and where was God for the people who died in the crash why didnt God save them..hmm? so i think its wise to leave religon and God out of this..also some people turn to faith after a near fatal accident they should be encouraged and not called losers.

Maybe it is true that his ex-wife never showed up to his bedside since the week he checked in..nobody is speculating that maybe she only showed up at his bedside to look like a good ex wife,a good person etc..she could of only been going to his bedside for the positive press she would get for going to her ex-husbands bedside

I am surprised about what he said about Shanna. He has always seemed like much better person than her, so there must be a reason for the hostility.

Travis, You obviously didn't gain any perspective with your near death experience. The best thing you can do for the children you claim to love is to love their mother! How sad.

I don't understand why Shanna is even wasting her time with him. He is constantly disrespecting her in the media and acting a total fool! Grow up Travis! You may be an amazing drummer but you have a lot of work to do on the inside!

I agree with Travis Barker that DJ AM is an inspiration, Travis is the same as well, and I'm glad they've all had family supporting them, etc.

although I love Travis very much,I do love Shanna as well,they are both amazing people,I dont believe Shanna will use this time to get publicity for herself and no matter what going on in their relatiuonship or wathever they have left I dont understand why Travis will choose to explain all that publicly,you get well Trvais you are alive and should understand now that your relation with you ex wife should be the best one no matter what.....
