VIDEO: Two TV Commenters Caught on Tape Criticizing Sarah Palin
Wednesday September 3, 2008
A conservative commentator and a Republican consultant were caught on tape bashing John McCain's vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin, who is scheduled to speak at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night. "It's over," Wall Street Journal columnist and former Ronald Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan is heard saying off-camera following an interview on MSNBC (Watch above, 38 seconds in). Anchor Chuck Todd then asked if Palin, the 44-year-old first-term governor of Alaska, is most qualified for the nomination. "The most qualified? No," Noonan responded. "I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives. Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and that's not what they're good at, they blow it." Consultant Mike Murphy added that McCain's decision was "cynical" and "gimmicky." On Monday, Palin -- mom to five -- released a statement confirming that her daughter Bristol, 17, is five-months pregnant. See more shocking teen pregnancies.
