Nick Lachey has given his blessing to ex Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend Tony Romo.
"I wish her nothing but happiness," Lachey says in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands Wednesday. "If she's found that... good for her."
Amid talk that Simpson may be returning to the small screen with a CMT special, Lachey understands her motives.
"I did a show a show around the making of my last record," Lachey told Us. "It was kind of a documentary that I did with MTV about making a record... that is an idea that I had and I thought it was a good one, so I can certainly see where she’s coming from with that."
But Lachey has ruled out a return to the reality genre that brought him and Simpson notoriety with MTV's Newlyweds.
"Reality TV is not on my radar," he said. "You learn lessons in life, and then you have a responsibility to yourself to learn from those lessons."
When asked if he would consider a reality series with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, Lachey responded, "No, no, no, no. Never. Never."
Lachey, 34, and Minnillo, 27, have been dating for a year and a half.

I like Nick and Jess together and I like vanessa. I think Jess and Nick would have been better off without papa Joe controlling Jess and they needed time away from reality Tv and have a private life. The only thing about Vanessa that I dont like is that she has said that she has always been a big fan of the Simpson family , then she takes over Jess ex. we know that reality shows are scripted but these celebs need to learn to keep their PRIVATE LIVES private! Nothing good every really came out of telling people all your business!How can you be yourselves and learn to lead "normal" lives with a camera following you around telling you what they want you to do today and what u should say..its almost a curse to do reality shows about your life! Nick is smart to say "no, never" to a show with vanessa. He learned the hard way. He thought it would be fun and a smart PR stunt. Little did he know. Jessica and Nick's shows long time ago were examples to all young couples. Their reality shows showed how Jessica's life were new to her NEW LOVE LIFE. First she didn't know how to do something so Nick is the only one who show her everything, especially Nice show her the meaning and the feeling of LOVE. I know Nick hurt Jessica and I know Nick is sorry, but bing separated and apart set an example to all young couples. They should've work things out and Nick were supposed not to do it again. Even though, they're apart but seeing their pictures with other people doesn't seem right because we can see that they're still love each other, but they just can't show it to let it out of their chest.

I really thought that they would have overcame the hollywood lifestyle that had destroyed most marriages in LA.
I have to admit that I enjoyed their shows, tour and news. They were like the Sonny and Cher.
Anyway. Life goes on and I thought that maybe they'd would learn from this breaktime that they were meant for one another. Just needed some times to breath. But, isn't marriage about being there for one another regardless.
They have to defend on another's honor. Don't ya think.

I watched the show and I thought Nick was very down to earth and grounded. Him & his brother loaded up a uhaul truck while moving out of his apartment and Jessica was saying "let's hire someone to do it for us". Yeah they have the money to do it but he didn't let money get the best of him.
Secondly- You idiots in here saying Nick's failed career blah blah blah. Excuse me but I doubt your bank account digits are anywhere near his and did you know he part owns a baseball team. Do you own a baseball team? I didn't think so..

I would watch a reality show with Nick and Vanessa but I'm sure he would never do it. As for Jessica, I'm not interested in a reality show, her movies or her music, I wouldn't waste my time or money. I like Nick I think he a typical guy who loves sports, loves music and just tries to live his life. I think he and Vanessa have a very real normal relationship and I respect that. I think they make a beautiful couple!

Nick and Jessica were great together until they did the show and the media had a field day with them, and to this day I still blame the media and photographers for the split, Just because they weren't seen together all the time that mean trouble in their marriage. All you Jessica fans, and/or those pining for Jess and Nick to get back together; GET OVER IT! Nick is so much happier now. In last weeks US and on People.com, Nick commented on how Vanessa is a great cook, and is low maintenance, and likes to just chill and play darts, etc.... That is SO much more his type than whiny, high maintenance, needy Jessica was. Plus, he's no fool. He won't rush into marriage and end up divorced again like Jessica will.
And I like Vanessa. She is beautiful, and is trying to get an acting career going; has parts lined up. And to the comments that Nicks career is over, sorry. I know his new CD will be great and do well. He has taken his time and it will be successful. Plus, he was just on Oprah a month or so ago, singing. He'll be around long after Miss "can't sing, straight to DVD" Jessica is.
