The couple hasn’t confirmed it, and a ring has not yet been spotted on her finger, but Usmagazine.com has learned that five-months-pregnant Nicole Richie and rocker Joel Madden may be engaged.
News of the possible engagement was announced Friday night by a local radio DJ who came on stage after an acoustic concert by Madden and his brother Benji at the Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington, Virginia. A source at the show, sponsored by NationalJeanCompany.com, tells Us that the DJ “thanked the Madden brothers for performing and announced to the crowd to give a warm congratulations on [Thursday night’s] engagement of Joel and Nicole.”
Adds the source: “Joel did not say anything about the engagement other than to wave to the crowd and acknowledge the roar when the radio personality made the announcement. He then walked off stage.” A rep for Richie couldn’t be reached for comment.
If the way the secretive couple treated their long-speculated-upon pregnancy news is any indication, Madden and Richie just might keep us guessing about their engagement until their wedding day.

Despite whatever rose tint nostaglia plays into people's visions of mroe moral times, sex still happened outside the marriage bed then. As another said, "early" babies and shotgun weddings.
And don't get me started on unwed mothers. Sure a two parent home is ideal, but hardly required for a secure, loving upbringing. Even a moral one.

Unattainable morals? Not at all true. All it takes is one simple word. No. If more people used that word we'd have FAR less STD's, less AIDS, fewer unwed mothers etc. etc. Wow..that would be awful, wouldn't it...
As for the person who ask 'Do you drive a car before you buy it?' Of course. But the last time I checked, a car wasn't capable of giving me a disease or getting me pregnant. Maybe you should try using your head sometime...the one on your shoulders.

I cared as well, that's why i crawled under a rock for while. Beleive me, different times.. it was actually sorta of acceptable then... but not totally... alcohol was involved, in large quantities... we drank like fools then, i was old enough to go to bars at 18, that wasn't a good thing.

I find the argument about morals now to be laughable. I times considered to be much more moral, it was acceptable and expected for women, excuse me, girls to be married as a teenager. Now they act as men have been for how long? And times are less moral? I call bullsht.

You want more information? Well, it was crazy, super deluxe around the world sex. In fact, we had sex in the cab on the way home. I think this might have to do with her reaction in the morning. She might have felt a little dirty, because we were really after it. Had a little sniffy and a bunch of liquor...it being NYE and all. It was fun.
