Nicole Richie's fender-bender on Monday was so minor we're downgrading it from "accident" to "oopsie."
The Simple Life star and on-again off-again Hilton BFF left Paris' Memorial Day barbeque Monday night in boyfriend Joel Madden's BMW. Everything seemed to be going fine when Richie stopped in at a gas station on La Cienega Blvd and Holloway Dr. in Los Angeles. There, she was struck with what we can only assume is a Memorial Day starlet curse, that seems to have already claimed Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton over the weekend. She backed into another customer's Honda convertible.
Richie was reportedly then released from the curse, appropriately mortified by her driving snafu, and went to "hug it out" with the other car owner. Though boyfriend Joel Madden can't be happy about the scratch on his bumper, he and Richie should rest easy knowing that it could have been worse.

Her boyfriend, Joel, is the idiot here. Knowing that SHE drove intoxicated AND driving the wrong-way last year, he hands her the keys?? If only she did bigger damage to that car, then maybe he would open his beady eyes.

Those poor girls ... first Paris, then Lindsay, now Nicole. I think they are all actually very special and talented people with seriously screwed up priorities. Maybe their mishaps can get them to go away for a while and clean up their acts and get their priorities straight. I do not wish harm to any of them, but I certainly do wish them health, and it's going to take getting away from the Hollywood grind, if by force even, to accomplish that. And, celebrity news would be so much better without them (and Britney), at least for a few years. Please?
