It was a bumpy ride for one of TV’s most beloved series both on and off screen last year. To wit: Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) waffles over soulmate Derek (Patrick Dempsey), and Izzie (Katherine Heigl) dallies with married pal George (T.R. Knight). Grey’s began strong, but the medical cases took a backseat to soapy histrionics. Still, the characters remain lovable. Bonus: deleted scenes. (Buena Vista, $60)
