The Darjeeling Limited
By THELMA ADAMSOPENS: OPENS FRIDAY 9/28

A year aft er their dad’s death, Francis (Owen Wilson) and his brothers, Jack (Jason Schwartz man) and Peter (Adrien Brody), trek across India on a train. The goal? To bond as they drink, smoke and down prescription narcotics on the road to a reunion with the mom who abandoned them. Wearing bandages after a suspicious accident (a possible suicide attempt is alluded to), Wilson is compelling and vulnerable in this story, which mixes antic comedy, searing emotion, adventure, tragedy and heroism. Still, director Wes Anderson’s film doesn’t know where to wrap up, and crumbles into multiple endings.
