Christie Brinkley’s husband and cheater-oner, Peter Cook, was busted for selling a gram of cocaine to an undercover cop on November 10, 1982, and later served jail-time, the New York Post reveals.
Cook, who was 23 at the time of the arrest, was "dealing fairly extensively in the Southampton and Bridgehampton areas," a narcotics officer said in a probation officer's report. The now-successful architect was arrested at a rest stop and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony.
The cop to whom he sold $125 worth of coke said Cook was "a typical Hampton kid who was insincere, uncooperative and uncaring." The police officer was also irritated when Cook "split to Europe in [sic] a vacation instead of cooperating." (Cook’s mother and Exxon-exec father were living in England at the time).
Cook pleaded guilty, was placed on five years' probation and spent two months in Suffolk County jail. This news comes a week after Cook was accused of having affairs with singers Diana Bianchi and Samantha Cole when they were 17 and 18, respectively.

Also in his defence I like to ad that Peter is fun and intelligent father who can teach the kids, at least his daughter Sailor, lot's of great things. He is a professional, respected architect and business man, unlike their mother who is a over the hill model, short tempered, spoiled a non producer.
She can't even do a Gym Equipment commercial without hiding her fat ass.
Peter: move on, go for an intelligent, YOUNG, fun and ambitious woman and take care of your daughter, and show her that life is more than just relying on a god given face and (once)body. No matter how nice it looks with make up...

I know them both and no matter how sad it is to read about their split, I have to say, in his defence, that Christy is not the little angel some people may like to believe.
If a man who lives in stress and unhappiness has the ability to find some relieve outside the marriage it shouldn't be such big deal. We don't know what kind of partner Christy is behind closed doors. I do think he should have been a bit smarter about it.
As as far as his drug convictions: if the US wouldn't have such hypocrit drug laws kids wouldn't even be able to find crack as it wouldn't be profitable enough to import or produce it.
In Europe I have never found any of my friends to even have seen Crack as smoking hash is legal and enough to get a nice high. And even that non of my friends ever smoked, because it was legal and therefore "boring."
I wish Peter well, at least he has a job and an education and can move on and be fine, if not, better off without her.

Well Peter obviously didn't think the kids were important at all when he pulled this stunt with the 19 yr old.
This WILL negatively effect these children and the fact that it is aired in public makes it that much worse.
Of course he was only thinking of himself...

totally agree chick, his kids need him too, they are the most important factor in all this.

Christie should not marry anymore of these men. Most of them are probably looking to have a trophy on their arm and would be insincere. She and her children should be independent because it would be best for all involved.

I think that if he was in fact a good father during thier marriage...they should both retain gaurdianship..after all all the children need is a battle over them too...cross it down the middle and leave it as that...it dosn't need to become Iraq...for the intrests of the children...let them decide at the appropriate time...until then, work together for the children sake.After all he did it as much to the children as much as he did it to Kristy....so in fairness, it is also for the children to decide on thier own terms to forgive him...when they see fit...as will Kristy...all in good time:)

I agree with Aussie. You can't judge some one by everything in their past. It's not as if Christie is getting married every year, or repeatedly rushing into things and thereby showing a lack of thought regarding her children or herself. And where would you draw the line at too many marriages? Two would be too many in the opinion of some conservatives. And what about those who re-marry a spouse the divorced? Would that count? To make a judgment on a marriage you need details and facts, or at least overwhelming evidence.

I think it's unfair that people go on about Christie's 4 marriages. I think she has had bad luck and maybe didn't look into her men carefully...I think she loved everyone of them and it hasn't always been her choice for a divorce. Think husband no 1. some french artist and they were too young no 2. Billy Joel...apparent alcohol and verbal abuse no 3. Ricky Taubman took her money no.4 well enough said.
