7:58, I hope, hope, hope that you are kidding about Bam being your children's role model because if you're not, you have issues and your children are going to have issues too!!! That's just sick!

Before Steve-O was hospitalized earlier this month, his Jackass co-star Bam Margera had begun a countdown: When will he die?
"I was like, 'I give him a month, and he'll be dead, guaranteed,'" Margera told Usmagazine.com at Element Eden Presents "Live Learn Grow" in L.A. on Thursday. "He was out of his mind.
"He was doing every G-----n drug you can possibly do as soon as he'd wake up," he added. (The National Enquirer published new photos of Steve-O snorting what appears to be cocaine off a woman's leg.)
Margera said Steve-O's avid drug use "was funny at first," but then "it just got to a point where it was sad."
He said Johnny Knoxville "had to sit him down" and force him to seek help.
Steve-O, 33, was involuntarily hospitalized in the psych ward of L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on March 13, around the time he was charged with felony possession of cocaine. He checked into rehab on March 16.
"He's actually in high spirits from what I hear," Margera told Us. "He's happy in there and is making jokes about himself like, 'I officially made it to the loony bin!' He's a character.
"He’s doing really good, which everybody is real glad about," Margera said. "He was really bonkers."

I love that US finally put Bam on their website, it has been a long time. I love to hear whatever Bam has to say. He is my children's role model and I am happy about that.
He's in my dead pool and I'll win with him. End of the year for sure. It sucks that I'll win money once he gets out of rehab and has a collosal relapse but that's the world we live in. Between him and Britney I'm a shoe in for the cash money. That's the only reason we know who they are in the first place so why shouldn't I make my cash off them, right?
"it was funny at first."
wtf?? his friends horrible drug use is hilarious.
great guy.
If addiction is genetic then all the more reason to CONTROL yourself, right??? Not hopelessly succumb to drugs.
Hey Bam, you're gonna look like Vito one day. The resemblance is remarkable.
I hope for Steve O's sake he makes this work. Seems everyone is trying to humanize celebrities lately by exposing their addictions. Well, they are human, they are capable of falling into the trap just as well as anyone else. Probably more capable than most with the unlimited $$$ and free time to sit around, party, and get loaded. Maybe that's why it's so much more severe when it's a celeb. Or is it? There are hundreds of treatment centers around the world that deal with people that aren't celebs every day, none of them are better or worse than the other. I think it's funny how people can condemn him for making the decisions he did. Obviously Steve O wasn't the brightest guy to begin with, or he acted the idiot, and it got way out of hand when he encountered drugs and fame. Who knows, maybe the drug use was just to enhance his 'performances' in the beginning. Good luck Steve O, it'll be a hard battle.
Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
5:41, I do feel I am a strong person because I am not addicted to pain pills, drugs, alcohol but I don't feel in any way that I am a better person than anyone. I would never say that addicts and alcoholics are weak, stupid, immoral, bad people. I don't think that at all. Everyone has their opinion and mine is that if you don't put yourself in that position, then you can beat it.
ok, i am an idiot, i see who you are talking about now!! hahahaha! WHEW LONG DAY!!

I am not quite sure who you are talking about thinking they are stronger than an addict?!? I love my mother, and I think she is one of the strongest people I know...the drug just took hold and it won't let go no matter what she does. I believe people have stronger personalities than others...like me when I was smoking...my husband can just put them down, but I was addicted, and it was hard. So, addicts aren't horrible people, they have a horrible disease.

5:20, I guess you are just stronger than those who suffer from addiction right? Or maybe you are just a better person? Because we all know addict and alcoholics are just weak, stupid, immoral, BAD people! Is that your point?
Addiction is a disease. My mother is a drug addict and alcoholic and its very disturbing watching her. If you don't have any contact with an addict, I don't think you deserve to say its not a disease. I know on the outside it looks like the stupidest thing ever...sometimes, actually most of the time, I think that too. "How can my mother be doing this to herself and me" "Just don't do the drugs" Its just not that easy. If if was, then we wouldn't have so many people no drugs these days. Soooo...that being said, Happy Friday! :)

5:01,
I am not Mormon and did just fine. My dad's an alcoholic and I turned out just fine. I drink almost every weekend and have been doing so for the past 4-5 years and have no desire whatsoever to do it more than that. Then I had surgery several years ago and took Percocet like it was candy while recovering for about 8 weeks (2-3 times a day) and had no problem stopping it when I went back to work. So I disagree when you say that it is genetic.
-----------------------------------------------------------
You don't inherit ALL genes from one parent.
Is your mom alcoholic?
For example: Your Dad can have brown eyes, but if your Mom has blue or green eyes you will not necessarily have brown eyes.
Maybe the alcoholic gene skipped you. Some alcoholism addiction is genetic, some develops from overuse. Some people are not born with the gene and take 20 years to become alcoholic. Others, who just have the gene, are addicts/alcoholic from their first use/drink.

I'm glad to hear from Bam Margera that Steve-O is in high spirits!
I agree with Bam Margera, I'm also glad Steve-O is doing better & getting the help he needs, and hopefully, this felony possession charge will be dropped real soon!?
4:38, yeah I guess if you're Mormon or grew up in a cave you wouldn't have to worry about drugs and alcohol. But most people don't have that luxury. Addiction is genetic. Some people can "try" drinking or drugs, once or twice and not become addicted, others try it and become addicted.

Addiction may be a hard thing to overcome but if you don't put yourself in that position in the first place then you don't have to worry about it. It's not like a disease that you have no control over like cancer, etc. He was stupid enough to do the drugs on his own with no help from anyone else. Therefore, he deserves no one sympathizing for him. I hope that he does get through this and turns out a better person in the end but he should get no sympathy from anyone in the meantime...especially people who don't even know him!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Actually it IS a physical disease. In case you didn't know, drugs are addictive. Once someone becomes addicted to something they have NO self-control, therefore NO choice. The World Health Organization among others define addiction as a disease.
Just because you have no experience in this area and don't want to believe it, doesn't make it untrue.

No one asked for your sympathy
Bam is hot, but he is kind of blunt in this interview. WAY TO LAY IT ALL OUT THERE. He says Steve O is crazy several times. We get it Bam, why don't you go support your friend instead of doing interviews???!!!!!
He may be getting help and "trying" but more than likely he'll be back doing it when he gets out of the looney bin! He's an idiot!

For all of you heartless idiots out there....I hope you NEVER know what it feels like to be in his position. Addiction is a hard thing to overcome. At least he is trying! Everyone deserves a break!
i am glad that steveO is doing better. i have family like that and his going to need a good friend on the road to getting better.
No sympathy whatsoever for him...
I am glad that Steve-O is great and has great friends behind him.
