Adam Carolla was the latest celeb sent home on Dancing With the Stars last night.
"I feel somewhat relieved but also I feel I let [partner Julianne Hough] down," he told Usmagazine.com after getting the boot.
The comedian, 43, incorporated a unicycle into his paso doble dance routiune Monday night, earning a low score of 19 out of 30.
Does he think the unicycle stunt did him in?
"I don’t know," he told Us. "I know that judges are not fans of what they call ‘props,' but I think that most props are thought of as crutches, and I thought that the unicycle was hardly a fake set a bull horns."
As for that 'stache he sported?
"This is not a fake mustache!" he insisted. "I've had it since my senior year of high school!"

Hough, his partner (and two-time champ), said she was pleased with his performance.
"He has improved so much, and if he would have stayed on, he would have been so good!" she told Us.
So what will Carolla miss most about being on the show?
"Julianne's hair and her teeth."

I liked seeing Adam bringing some humor to this show! It takes itself so seriously. People watch this show to see a celebrities out of their element--not for good dancing. I mean come on, even the best celeb dancers are crap when you compare them to the dancers on So You Think You Can Dance. Adam was awesome making the boring old squares who watch this show uncomfortable!

Oh come now 3:21,23,33,34 and 35 I am so glad that you like Adam and listen to his show. It's not that serious. And of course if you 'were' watching the show to be entertained with any thing other than "BALLROOM DANCING" then maybe the show wasn't for you. Never heard of him or his show which is why "I" found him not to be funny. And by the way is HAMMER so new movie that you are trying to recommend? Sorry I just didn't get him.

He kept the show funny and entertaining. Now that he is gone I am not going to watch anymore cause it will be BOR-ING! And 1:51...you are retarded.....Adam's radio program is the best I have ever heard...he is HILARIOUS and just because he isnt part of the Hollywood "cutie" club....dont hate. Oh come on people it's Ballroom dancing not a circus! I was glad to see him go. I found his jokes to be as obnoxious as his dancing. Glad to see him go now may be every one can see some competitive BALL ROOM DANCING and not some wanta-be-comedian making jokes in order to cover up the fact that he is out of his element.

That's Entertainment, folks! You work with what you have and if you succeed you turn it to your advantage - or even a signature element of your own particular schtick. It was fun to follow the arch of progress Adam and Julianne followed as a dance couple.
But dancing well is not easy, period. And if you buy-into professional background and experience being an advantage then that Melissa Winakour-person should be the front-runner and she's not. And Kristy Yamaguchi's prowess as a singles ice skating champion is way different than creating an artistic idea and interpreting it with a partner. As a skater she has to unlearn dozens of placement and movement things that are done with a flat foot in skates. So she deserves her own props, though it's still not a one-horse race, because John Q Public gets to vote every week.
Julianne has a budding singing and acting career, so she's probably relieved to have her life back to see where that takes her (at the advanced age of 19-20!).
The way I see it, either you can dance, or you can't, the difference being Tucker Carlson and, bless his heart, Jerry Springer. He was old, but he could dance. Carolla makes a good point - if we have the courage to get out of our comfort zone, we may find unexpected beauty. Simple.

I thought Adam was hilarious and I hate to see him go. Even if he wasn't the greatest dancer, he brought a little comic relief every week. Nice to see a guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. I'm definitely a fan.

He's a funny likable guy but it's ultimately a dance show and part of the fun is watching the celebs evolve each week under such duress. He was never going to win. I think the celebs that are athletes have the obvious advantage because dancing professional is so physically and mentally challenging and daunting. It's probably a little unfair...but athletes have an edge in getting into the mindset.

The unicycle was really over the top and, I believe, it killed their chances. I agree Julianne has to work the hardest, but has succeeded most of the time, considering she has won twice in a row. Maybe she was handed a lemon this time so that she would be guaranteed to lose. I disagree about Jason Taylor. I found him to be awkward, but that is to be expected from someone that tall. The only tall dancer who has been good is Tommy Tune. I wish the rest well, especially Marlee Martin who has the hardest challenge of all.

Julianne is so likeable--I definitely think she's been a fabulous addition to the show. I just wonder how they pair up the people--it seems like Kim never gets a good partner, but Karina usually does. Louie and Jonathan always seem to get the "mature" person. I just love seeing Jason Taylor dance personally!
