Hours after Richie Sambora was charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI, the Bon Jovi guitarist has plea bargained the case.
He plead no contest to a charge of driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher, TMZ.com reports. (Sambora's blood alcohol level at the time of his arrest was reportedly .13.)
Another charge of driving under the influence was dropped, according to TMZ.
Sambora will pay around $1,600, including a $390 fine and penalties, TMZ reports.
The 48-year-old, who entered rehab – reportedly for alcoholism – last June, will be placed on three years "informal probation" and will be required to attend an alcohol education course, TMZ says.
Sambora avoided a charge of child endangerment, stemming from his March 25 arrest in Laguna Beach, California.
Sambora spent a night in jail after he was pulled over. Ava, his 10-year-old daughter with ex Heather Locklear, was in the car.

It disgusts me that he has gotten off with just a slap on the wrist. He had his child in the car with him and was driving drunk! No community service even? People will continue to drink and drive as long as all these high profile celebrities keep getting off! They have so much money-if they want to go out and get blasted why not just hire a driver? Idiots!

Another instance where being a celebrity gets you off easy. If this was anyone else who got caught for doing this they would be in the slammer. What a joke. These idiots will continue to act like 2 year olds until one of them actually gets punished for their actions or until someone dies.
