Barbara Walters was someone to look up to for White women I am sorry to say, she did not help all color of women to get anywhere. Walters is not someone I ever aspired to be like because she did not understand anything about what Women of colr went thru, ONLY a Woman of Color like Oprah could do that. Sorry Babs, you are not my idea of a role model especially now that you have opened your mouth and told what type of person you were back in the day. You know people have ideas in their heads of what they look for in someone and Babs blew it by saying she had an affair with a married man. I would have taken that to my grave. When you write a book or even write in your diary you dont put everything down, because you never know who is going to read it and be hurt. Oh by the way, doesnt Barbara Walters have a daughter? And what does she think of her mother now? Tom Cruise is not a person I would be taking advice from on who is "A leading force for women". PLSSSS he is so full of himself just like Barbara Walters.

Tom Cruise made a surprise message for Barbara Walters on the occasion of her 50th anniversary in television.
The actor said in a taped clip broadcast Wednesday: "Do you realize that on October 4,1976, when you became the first woman ever to anchor the evening news... that that moment in time would forever empower other women to reach for their goals in any field that they chose?"
He also called Walters a "leading force for women not only in the newsroom but the world at large" (Watch above).
Walters responded with a giggle, "Oh, Tommy baby! How nice!"
Walters just published her memoir, Audition, in which she writes about her affair with a married senator and why Star Jones left The View.
