I suspect Joe knows perfectly well that he jinxes Jessica's love life. But he refuses to respect his daughter's boundaries, or Tony's either if the story in US is true. Even if Tony had hung in there with Jessica, and in spite of his celebrity status, which Joe seemingly gloried in, Joe would have continued to insuate himself in the lovers' relationship to an inappropriate and intollerable degree until Tony had enough and walked away like his predecessors. Joe just can't let go of Jessica. Ashley, by contrast apparently doesn't interest her father to the same degree or in the same creepy way that Jessica does; no mention is made of extracting a promise from 4 months pregnant Ashley to abstain from sex until her marriage. Nor does he discuss her physical attributes in the shocking way that he fameously lauded Jessica's well endowed breasts when he was quoted as bragging "Can't hide those babies." I believe Jessica's love life and career would both improve greatly were she to hire a talent agency whose only interest in her was professional and financial. And I believe Joe Simpson would be greatly improved by a long course of treatment with a good Freudian psychiatrist and a real job that has nothing to do with either of his daughters. He probably ought to stay away from Baptist pulpits too. Chruches are having enough trouble attracting worshipers as it is.

I was going to comment on Papa Joe's desperation, but I agree with anonymous @ 8:04pm that this is a blatant lie that US Weakly told and the story about Papa Joe is basically cover for thier shoddy "journalism."

tony romo owes the simpson family NOTHING. why on earth would he go to a wedding when he isnt even dating jessica anymore? how awkward. joe is a complete weirdo. he needs to focus on his own marriage and quit running around like a teenager & living his life through his children.

I wouldn't want Tony to attend if its truly over. It just does not make any sense & serves no purpose. I do think Fans & haters & media took this way too far & all share part of the blame for the relatioship bust. Shame. It's not fun anymore & two people get hurt. It was funny for about a month & now we have this.
I am angered because never during any of this has Tony ever addressed anything. He has just let Jessica take all the hits. Is that a man or a whimp?? First, Joe Simpson needs to BACK OFF! He needs to stay out of his kids' lives at this point when it comes to their personal *ahem* affairs! Second, I've never heard of the father of the bride throwing the bachelor party or even being invited to one. Guess he wanted to make sure there was no hanky panky.
