Fergie Bio Bio

Stacy Ferguson, born and raised in California, got her start as a child star and through a chance encounter become the fourth member of the Black Eyed Peas, providing a female singer to the trio of pop-rappers. Her first solo album came out in September.

Love

Fergie has been engaged to Josh Duhamel, star of NBC’s Las Vegas, since December 2007.

Career

Fergie entered show business as a kid, doing voice-overs on The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show and, at the age of eight, on Kids Incorporated. She was the longest-running original cast member of Kids Incorporated and even formed a band, Wild Orchid, with two of her costars. They released two albums and toured with Cher, 98 Degrees and N*SYNC but Fergie didn’t find real stardom until the Black Eyed Peas asked her to collaborate on a track. The track, “Hey Mama,” turned out so well that she became their fourth member. Fergie’s first solo album, The Duchess, debuted at #3 in September. On September 9, 2007, Fergie won the Female Artist of the Year award at the Video Music Awards. In November 2007, she took home the American Music Award for Best Female Pop Artist.
