Alec Baldwin had ex-wife Kim Basinger charged with contempt of court Wednesday, alleging that she is defying court orders in the custody battle over their 10-year-old daughter Ireland, E! reports.

Baldwin claims that the L.A. Confidential Oscar winner violated his visitation rights, blocked his rights to speak with Ireland on the phone, failed to let her ex know that she'd be going out of town so that Ireland could stay with him in her absence, and did not notify him when she suffered an injury, according to TMZ.

Basinger, pleaded not guilty through her lawyer, and faces a maximum fine of $12,000 and 60 days in jail if she's convicted on all 12 misdemeanor counts.

In 2004, Basinger, 52, and Baldwin, 48, agreed to share equal custody, but Baldwin sued for custody last October, accusing his ex-wife of trying to turn their daughter against him.

The 30 Rock actor volunteered to undergo a psychological evaluation last June in the hopes that the courts might allow him to spend more time with Ireland.

Basinger and Baldwin divorced in 2002 after nine years of marriage.
