FACEBOOKI personally LOVE john mayer and i thought the scene was funny. But i have to agree with some of you guys...why is he going for Jessica Simpson? He could definitely do better.

John Mayer usually says "Bah, humbug!" to requests to parody his music, but when "The Office" came calling this Christmas, the singer had a change of heart. The show wanted to use his sentimental tune "Your Body is a Wonderland" for an office holiday party scene. On his blog, Mayer explains, "I initially turned the request down, but after thinking about it, and hearing the details on the incredibly funny sounding scene... I decided to go for it."
"I'm not making apologies for my work," Mayer writes, "but it's safe to say I don't get asked to use 'Wonderland' for strongman competitions and documentaries about aircraft carriers. I get asked so that people can goof on it." Indeed, Steve Carrell's character Michael Scott butchers the tune during a karaoke session. Sounds harsh, but luckily Mayer's sense of humor got the better of him. He calls the series "one of my favorite shows on television."

John mayer is awesome. i cant believe these people made a story about this.who gives a crap if someone "Butchered" his song on a show singing karaoke when people do it for real every single day?? what about those people? are THEY laughing at or with him?? wtc? anyone else see my point?? (and Which i personally love the office too)

I'm laughing with him because he is such a mysterious cutie. There is something about those humble guys like Josh Hartnett and John Mayer that is very attractive. They don't care so much about the fame, they just want to do what they love best and be considered normal, that's very refreshing!

I wish I could laugh at him after reading excerpts of the Rolling Stone interview. His remarks in the interview were disgusting. I think Continuum is brilliant but he has got to get some class.

I really like John Mayer's music but he needs to lighten up alot!! He is way to serious. So what someone parody's your music, it's a joke! At least he understood and did lighten up some.
