 Reality TV made this spoiled heiress to the Hilton Hotel franchise a household name. After she and Nicole Richie debuted on the FOX reality show, The Simple Life, she garnered a following on Maxim covers, websites, and cellphone wallpapers everywhere. A red-carpet diva if ever there was one, she’s opened the doorway for her sister, Nicky Hilton, as well. Hilton was arrested on the morning of September 7, 2006 on a DUI charge and was sentenced to 36 months probation and had her license suspended. In February 2007, she was pulled over for driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone. Hilton was to serve 23 days in jail (down from a judge’s original recommendation of 45) but after a little over three days, the heiress was sent home due to “medical issues.” After spending just one day at home, she was ordered back to court by the judge and re-sentenced to finish the 23 days at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles. On June 13, Hilton was transferred again from Twin Towers back to the medical clinic in Century Regional Detention Facility. She was released from jail at 12:01 a.m. on June 26, 2007. 
 Hilton’s love life list reads like a United States census: among those rumored to have shared her bedspace include Leonardo Di Caprio, Brian Uhrlacher, SUM 41's Deryck Whibley, Nick Carter, Vincent Gallo, Edward Furlong, Matt Leinart, Jose Theodore, Lucas Bain, Brandon Davis and Oscar De La Hoya. She was engaged to model Jason Shaw before breaking it off in 2003, then began fleeting engagements with Greek shipping heirs Paris Latsis and Stavros Niarchos III. In February 2008, Hilton and Benji Madden - Joel Madden's twin brother - announced that they were dating. "I'm really happy!" she says of her relationship with Benji. 
 After only earning a GED from the Dwight School in New York, Hilton lived a luxorious life of debutante appearances and various modeling turns before being cast in The Simple Life, which made her an overnight sensation. It also helped that her sex tape with Rick Solomon became a porn hit at the same time. Aside from the The Simple Life, she’s been featured on TV shows including The O.C and had star modeling work that’s earned her millions. She and bestie Nicole Richie parted ways for more than a year but have now reconciled. The split caused tensions during the fourth season of The Simple Life: ‘Til Death Do Us Part. The two never appeared on screen until the final episode where the cliffhanger was their much-anticipated reconciliation. The duo was back in action with The Simple Life Goes to Camp, which premiered May 2007 and finished out the Simple Life TV franchise. Hilton’s self-titled debut album, which features the moderate hit "Stars Are Blind," was released in August 2006 and debuted at number 6 on the Billboard charts. In February 2008, Hilton announced that she plans to make a second splash in reality television by way of a new MTV series where she solicits for a new best pal via ParisBFF.com.
