Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora is the latest celeb to go for help. A rep for the band tells Usmagazine.com: "Richie Sambora has entered an undisclosed treatment facility in Los Angeles. He asks that you respect he and his family's privacy at this time."
A source tells Us that Richie is being treated for alcohol, not drugs. "It is not a typical 30-day rehab. This is just a treatment center to get his problem under control." The source confirms that he is not in Promises, where Lindsay Lohan is currently receiving counseling.
The Us source also claims that despite reports to the contrary, Richie was not drunk at the band's taping of Unplugged on June 5. "They had to do a few songs over, which is typical in any taping, but he was not wasted and that report is completely overblown."
The 47-year-old guitarist "is going through a hard time right now," our source says. "His dad dying was not easy." Additionally, Sambora's divorce from Heather Locklear became final in April, and he split from girlfriend Denise Richards in March. "It was a really tough year."
But fear not, Jovi fans. Sambora will be out in time for the band's album release on June 19. Our source says, "The whole band is supporting him with this. He will be out and better to go back to work."

I'm not defending him but saying that choosing the wrong people didn't help him out either. The problem is his but when you're around selfish people, that doesn't help.
maybe he doesn't know what's wrong with him; maybe he didn't want to think so he drank and did what he could to cover it up.
He's an upbeat person by nature so it's really hard to see him down.

SD - really. Richie can only blame Richie for his problems. As an addict, part of healing is owning up to your problems. That does not mean blaming everyone else and accepting no responsibility. Richie has a problem and Richie is trying to solve it point blank. It is not Heather's nor Denise's fault and I could care less for Denise. You really also should not post such defensive words for someone you do not know, sounds creepy. It seems people are wishing him well and you are defending nothing.

Why doesn't anyone say the truth. Neither one of these women truly had Richie's back.
The only ones who had his back are his parents and bandmates.
Guaranteed if he was with someone with real class, all his business wouldn't be in the news. All you'd hear was news about his music, not personal life.
I hope Richie clears his mind and gets peace away from these yakking hens, even if it is just temporary. When he can think clearly (without interruption) he'll realize that it's not worth it to go for looks, but what's on the inside.
Yes Richie, I believe in love at first sight too. But I also believe in taking a SECOND look!
They never left him alone--and they're both bad for him.
Let him be. He'll conquer this like everything else and be stronger for it.

Well now we know why Sambora and Denise Richards broke up. She wasn't trying to get hooked back into another crackhead relationship! Her crackheaded child porno watching husband Charlie Sheen was enough I guess!
I hope Sambora didn't tell Richard's "If you tell anyone you won't sleep a damn WINK tonight!" Like Sheen did when she threatened to come forward with his impropriety! LOL!

I wish Richie success with his treatment, he is the father of Heather's daughter...HOWEVER, he is a cad. He and Denise were making eyes behind Heather's back anyway...I wonder if his daughter attended her grandfather's burial since Denise was there that might make Heather guarded...Let's just pray that Heather and Jack have something special, they look special and I hope they make each other happy. Heather gives me hope for looking attractive as she gets closer to 50.

Please, Heather has been going to AA meetings since she went sober mannnnny years ago, you are suppose to continue going to the meetings. I have been sober for 10 years and still attend meetings. You are an alcoholic forever. Man, some of you are so dense in life knowledge, you just need to say something mean.

Richie really went down hill after Heather left him. I am sure she left because of his drinking. He really is a talented guy I hope that he is able to take control of himself. I hope he doesn't get back with Denise though. I am sure it is to late for him and Heather. She has moved on with Jack Wagner and I love them together.
