Also Thelma, war takes a long time. Ask yourself: How long did the World Wars last? How long did the Vietnam War last? You don't just get in and get out within a matter of a few months, or a year.

Now imagine this: I give you a bomb which you can hide from me anywhere in the state of Calif. You can bury it, put it in a mountain, a cave, you can hide it in a garage, put it anywhere you want. How long do you think it's going to take me to find it? How about me and 10,000 other people? Probably a pretty long time, huh? Now imagine if you have the capability of moving it to Oregon. How hard would it be to find that?! People are expecting too much, too quickly. Be realistic.

Thelma, the Axis of Evil remember? If you aren't for the US you're against it is what Bush said. He gave everyone a chance to clean up their act, then being the strong helpful country we are we enforced sactions already put into place by the UN. Ok now our economy. What exactly is his fault? And personally that man has had the hardest job since 9/11 thank God Gore wasn't in there. Yikes.

Ok so maybe Bush isn't "solely" responsible for the economy today however he isn't doing anything to fix it and as President of our country I do believe it is his responsibility to step up and get us out of this mess. This is his war, not ours. He wanted Bin Laden and his focus was shifted over to Hussein whom we caught and got rid of. Doesn't look like we are catching the character we originally went after so I think we need to get out of there. We are only hacking these people off more which is not a good thing. I have heard several different stories of what goes on over there, most of them from soldiers that have experienced it themselves. I totally support our troops but I do not support our President.

401 thelma- OK- are you listening to yourself? "If Bush did care about our troops, he wouldn't send them over there to die?" Uh... WHAT??? Last time I checked, military was a volunteer thing. Bush doesn't send our troops over there thinking "Oh good, they're going to die now." Like it or not, we are in a war. Would you like it better if our troops just stayed here and we got attacked on our own soil? This is their job and this is what they signed up for. My husband being one of them. He's been in for 18 years.

Everyone knows someone, or OF someone that is fighting, or has fought over there. Of course that has an affect on our opinion about the war. My boyfriend is a former Marine and is in the reserves now. He has fought over there as well. He is a Libertarian (as am I), but he likes and respects Bush.

The reason I said you don't have a good understanding of things is because you quote me out of context, and you say things like "Bush just wants to finish his daddy's war." You're not responding to my comments with any rationality, or substance.
