FACEBOOKI didn't know that Owen attempted suicide! I'm soooo glad he's okay. That would have been just dreadful news for all of us fans, his friends, and his family to hear. Everyone loves him! He's cute, funny, and a great entertainer! I can't wait to see his new movie coming up. He has NO idea how many people (even people he doesn't even know) care about him.

Owen Wilson is relying on a little help from his friends.
The actor — still recuperating after his August 26 suicide attempt — reconnected on September 30 with ex–gal pal Carolina Cerisola, a dancer at Hollywood’s Forty Deuce club. (“She freaked out when she heard about Owen attempting suicide,” a source tells Us Weekly.)
Cerisola isn’t Wilson’s only confidant: Steve Coogan, the actor pal and rehab veteran who took some heat for Wilson’s hard partying, visited him on September 27. Says an insider, “You can’t blame one man for another man’s problems.”
Another pal, director Wes Anderson, asks that people give Wilson space, telling New York magazine, “His life has changed so radically...and in ways that most people never have to deal with.”
Wilson’s friends believe that work will help him heal, and he is prepping for Marley & Me, which films next year. Says the source, “That’ll be enough time for the dust to settle.”

I can't say I'm a fan. I never considered him attractive or very talented, but, for anyone to try to take their own life is so sad. Of course I wish him well.
(& at least he has more talent that goofball Stiller)
For once it seems the press is letting someone have their healing time. Shame they can't do that for Brittany.

Kate has nothing to do with it. Owen Wilson's problem is substance abuse and depression. It's called dual diagnosis and it's SERIOUS. If he's suicidal, he should be admitted to a mental health facility to receive the help he needs, instead of romping on the beach with a publicity-seeking stripper. Plus, he's already back to his old ways (drinking heavily at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica)! He's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I'm praying for him...

Owen is not in to him self what are you talking about . That stripper probably heard that Owen was quite ill and thought WOW maybeI'll be able to get something out of this like Publicity!? As far as I'm concernedKate should be allowed yes to see him but she should wait until he is feeling a hole lot better Or for him(Owen)to decide he wants to see her.

I feel maybe the reason Owen's family didn't want Kate to have any contact with him is because he (Owen) was depressed about there breakup.Maybe thats one of the reasons he did what he did. It really doesn't matter to me what Owen did , "I stll LOVE him because Owen is a great actor.I just hope Owen gets better and starts feeling like him own self again. Some of you just don't get it, do you? If you are so into another person and have invested your heart and soul and then that person doesn't want to be with you, it is devastating. And if you've gone to the extreme as he had to get rid of the pain, why would you want that person involved in your life? I think there will be a time when he can talk to Kate, just not now.

Maybe Owen was unaware until later? You never know. Maybe he didn't want it, maybe they didn't want it. Whatever happened behind closed doors with that Kate/Family thing is something no one will know. What is important is his health and happiness! I wish ya the best O.W.!

hhhhu..even Steve Coogan vistited him? that's just crazy. what is their rationale behind rejecting Kate's wishes anyways..prob some silly reason..they just have a bad emotional style is all...and it's contributing to his problems i'm sure, not Kate..what did she ever do to him..she seemed to be so into him..it makes it a little hard to have much sympathy for this guy..

Yeah. They probably just wanted him around the dancer again to rub that in Kate's face. He has enough to worry about he doesn't need distraction and immaturity surrounding him. I hope he gets well, he seems like a nice guy!

he & family just seem hostile in how they deal w things..maybe in general, not just w Kate..maybe that orientation even contributed to his depression & suicide attempt..quite possible..

I wonder why his family didn't want Kate Hudson to talk to him when he was ill? I feel bad that she couldn't reach him and that they wouldn't let cards and flowers get to him from her. It's not like she was trying to date him again just show some sympathy.
