I didn't know that Owen attempted suicide! I'm soooo glad he's okay. That would have been just dreadful news for all of us fans, his friends, and his family to hear. Everyone loves him! He's cute, funny, and a great entertainer! I can't wait to see his new movie coming up. He has NO idea how many people (even people he doesn't even know) care about him.

Not to be callous, but who cares? Obviously some folks do who have made comments on this page, but there are so many more important things in Life than Owen Wilson and his drama.

HE IS A FANTASTIC ACTOR AND SO IS BEN STILLER. WAKE UP...AND KATE IS PERFECT FOR HIM AS WELL. BEN WAS BESIDE HIM MORE THAN ANYONE.

Kate has nothing to do with it. Owen Wilson's problem is substance abuse and depression. It's called dual diagnosis and it's SERIOUS. If he's suicidal, he should be admitted to a mental health facility to receive the help he needs, instead of romping on the beach with a publicity-seeking stripper. Plus, he's already back to his old ways (drinking heavily at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica)! He's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I'm praying for him...

I feel maybe the reason Owen's family didn't want Kate to have any contact with him is because he (Owen) was depressed about there breakup.Maybe thats one of the reasons he did what he did. It really doesn't matter to me what Owen did , "I stll LOVE him because Owen is a great actor.I just hope Owen gets better and starts feeling like him own self again. "YOUR A FUNNY MAN OWEN WILSON" keep up the good work!

This may be wrong, but didn't he and Kate break up (so says the tabloids) because he didn't want to commit? If that's the case, I kind of doubt she had much to do with this.

No, we get it. We're not stupid. Considering everyone has gone through SOMETHING. Everyone is different that is all people are saying here. I wish him the best.

Some of you just don't get it, do you? If you are so into another person and have invested your heart and soul and then that person doesn't want to be with you, it is devastating. And if you've gone to the extreme as he had to get rid of the pain, why would you want that person involved in your life? I think there will be a time when he can talk to Kate, just not now.

Maybe Owen was unaware until later? You never know. Maybe he didn't want it, maybe they didn't want it. Whatever happened behind closed doors with that Kate/Family thing is something no one will know. What is important is his health and happiness! I wish ya the best O.W.!

Yeah. They probably just wanted him around the dancer again to rub that in Kate's face. He has enough to worry about he doesn't need distraction and immaturity surrounding him. I hope he gets well, he seems like a nice guy!

ps: hm, it's ok for his "healing process" to be around the dancer, but not accept well wishes from Kate...hm, if you ask me this guy likes himself a little too much while being hostile to others...

I wonder why his family didn't want Kate Hudson to talk to him when he was ill? I feel bad that she couldn't reach him and that they wouldn't let cards and flowers get to him from her. It's not like she was trying to date him again just show some sympathy.
