Paris Hilton might get thrown in the slammer. Prosecutors asked a judge on Thursday to revoke The Simple Life star's probation for reckless driving, which could lead to up to 90 days in jail for the celebutante.
On Feb 27, Hilton, 26, was pulled over by police on LA's Sunset Blvd for speeding and driving without headlights. Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputies then discovered that Hilton was on probation and had a suspended license, a result of her DUI and reckless driving arrest last September.
Her attorney initially said Hilton didn’t know her license had been suspended, following a no contest guilty plea in January for the DUI charge. However, Frank Mateljan, spokesman for the City Attorney Office, tells Usmagazine.com that they decided to proceed with revoking Hilton's probation after "we got confirmation that her license was suspended at the time of that incident and that she did have knowledge of that suspension."
Mateljan says that "the maximum penalty on the original charge of alcohol related reckless driving is 90 days in jail." But, he adds, it's "up to a judge" to determine whether or not Hilton actually ends up behind bars.
