It seems like the people criticizing Paris are just jealous.

Instead of putting effort into improving your own lives, they expend their energy hating someone they don't even know.

Angelina Jolie started all this nonsense. After her affair with Brad Pitt, she began browbeating everybody to support Third World humanitarian causes in order to improve her PR. This behavior rallied vapid sluts like Paris Hilton, who saw publicized "charity work" as a chance to elevate their tarnished image without actually having to do anything different, or better yet, be anything different. Now that bottom-of-the-barrel celebutards have jumped on the bandwagon, the currency of faux humanitarianism has been devalued. Hopefully we are seeing the last throes of this annoying and worthless fad.

Give her a break.. At least she is trying to do good.I know that she is known for being the party girl, DUI driving , "IT" girl BUT I think she is truly trying to change and bring awareness to things that need to be brought to our attention. WE ALL (*myself included) criticized her and made fun of her when she had the DUI and all of her partying ways a few months ago (before she went to jail) and now that she is out of course we are still going to poke fun at her but we also need to applaud her b/c she is ACTUALLY doing something with her fame besides making amateur porn and partying. We need to realize that she is actually doing better things with her money than Brittany. All Brit can do is shop and flash us her hoochie.

Paris has grown up privileged her entire life. Disgustingly privileged. She just doesn't understand what reality is. But she appears to be trying. So kudos to her for that. I don't hate her for partying, it's what most people her age would do with her kind of money. I would like it if she recognized that there are people who work harder than she does (though I'm sure she does work hard, as someone in the public eye you're constantly on the go), that there are more important things than money and catch phrases, but she seems like a nice enough person who wants to be liked and wants to do good. So let her try. Going to Rwanda would be scary -- that at least takes guts.
