Paris Hilton's younger brother Barron was arrested for suspicion of DUI this morning in Malibu, California.
"We can confirm that Barron Hilton was arrested under the suspicion of driving under the influence at 8:04 a.m.," Los Angeles County Sheriff Spokesperson Steve Whitmore tells Usmagazine.com.
Whitmore tells Us that Barron, 18, had a blood alcohol level of .14 — nearly twice the legal limit. (In California, .08 is considered legally intoxicated for drivers over 21.)
The Sheriff’s Web site says the charge is a misdemeanor and bail has been set at $5,000.
He left jail at around 5:50 p.m. PT, covering his head with a jacket and getting into the back of a silver car, which was escorted out by a Sheriff's vehicle, TMZ.com reported.
Barron was driving with a passenger in a black Mercedes on the Pacific Coast Highway when he was pulled over.
TMZ.com first reported the news.
His sister, Paris, was arrested for DUI in 2006. She later entered a plea of no contest to a lesser charge of reckless driving.
For now, the Hilton family is remaining tight-lipped on the arrest.
"I haven't been contacted yet by either my son or the police. If what I have heard is true, it is very disturbing and I will have a lot to say — but it will be to my son not the media," father Rick Hilton said in a statement to Us.

I guess Paris isn't going to be the only screw up in the family. These people may have money but they have no brains or class. Driving drunk is just plain dumb and there is no excuse. He had more than one drink so he was beyond buzzed.

Do any of these Hiltons go to college after graduating prep school? With all their freakin' money, one would think they could go to just about any school in the country. If they could get in, of course.
Well, the kid made a mistake. Just like thousands of other kids in this country that get caught doing the same thing. I hope he learns his lesson. Unfortunately, it looks like Paris' contrite state of affairs did not last long.
