My prayers are with you, Patrick, and your dear wife, Lisa. Lisa, my husband and I are Finnish also (nationality). They are strong people.
My husband has cancer and was diagnosed over 7 years ago. Somehow, I would think a cure could be found after all the $ donated. Don't you think? My husband also has had radiation twice. He says that was worse than the chemo!

Anyway, I truly hope and pray you won't be in too much pain. I just heard on the news that you now have pneumonia and are in the hospital!
Lisa, take care of you both. I pray for strength for both of you.

God Bless you all and keep your spirits up and hope and don't give in. my mother in law had cancer and which is different then your's. but the thing about it is this research has come a long ways and they will fine a cure for this. You're a strong person Patrick and I assume your wife is also. between the both you can beat this.

all you people on here do you really know what causes pancreatic cancer.and if you don't i can tell you about it. my husband died of it in august of 2007.first it is heredity.it runs in the genes.if someone in your family had it more then likely you will get it.second yes smoking is part of it. so is being a diabetic. drinking beer don't help.and one other thing working with gas products will cause pancreatic cancer as well.and for anyone to say why is he still smoking.my husband was dying and he beg me to let him smoke.and i thought why not let him live his last days what he wanted.i didn't want his last days weeks arguing with him so i gave in.the worst thing you can do with pancreatic cancer is to lose weight. my husband weighted 270 pounds had 4 surgeries and when he died 10 months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer he weighted less then 100 pounds.and if patrick swayze can beat this deadly disease so be it and good luck i myself is pulling for ya.may God be with you with this deadly disease.

Dear Patrick, I want u to know that you can and will beat this cancer, if you put your mind on it. Don't listen to the stastics or the media.
This is how I beat breast cancer, first I committed myself to God and He took care of me. Commit urself to Him, try Him and u will not be dissappointed.

What's really sad about this whole thing is, it could have been avoided. Patrick was apparently a heavy smoker and pancreatic cancer is caused by smoking. What a waste.
