Nevermind their two VMA nominations. The most exciting part of VMA weekend for alt rockers Fall Out Boy? "The girls!" drummer Andy Hurley told Us at the Crush Management party at club LAX at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas September 7.
During the interview bassist Pete Wentz, 28, who will perform with his band Sunday night, joked with Us about pre-show jitters and girlfriend Ashlee Simpson.
Your band's up for Best Group and Monster Single of the Year. Psyched?
I’m nervous that someone else is going to take them!
So how are you going to calm your nerves?
You know how before you get with a girl for the first time, you go into the bathroom and work it out? We’re just going to practice giving each other a bunch of awards just to sort of hype it up, so we don’t blow our load early.
Pete, how are things going with Ashlee?
[Laughing] Fantastic! We got married on the moon, and I’m pregnant with her baby.
Is she with you tonight?
No, she’s not. I’m here with these lovely young men. She just can’t grow a beard like this [points to guitarist Joe Trohman].
