A FDNY rep tells Us they responded to a call at a NYC residence at 3:27 p.m. today. Sources say it was the home of Heath Ledger.
The rep says there was one ambulance and one fire truck.
It was a response to a cardiac arrest. The victim "was dead on arrival," the rep said.
"We did not transport [the body to a hospital]," the rep added.

Me and my room mate can hardly believe this! We thought maybe US weekly was playing a horrible joke...obviously not! OMG!!! This is very sad, sad day indeed! First Renfo and now him! I hope he wasnt on drugs or suicidal and just an allergic reaction to medication.

I hope the Oscar WILL go on now, so that there can be a tribute to him at the ceremony. He was an outstanding actor. He deserves recognition. He will be missed.
